The one album that is highly relatable to W.D. and A.B. is Wake of the Flood. I believe that album is absolutley perfect; Each song is fantastic.
Blues for Allah is also quite good. However, it is nothing like the Grateful Dead had done. The album is Progressive. Influence of Classical, Jazz, Middle Eastern music, and Reggae are all easily seen. Those album will probably be hard for you to get. So in that case, I recommend getting to work on their Psychedelic albums. Aoxomoxoa would be the favorite around here. Anthem of the Sun is also fantastic, but usually takes a while to get into. The s/t is also quite good. I find it surprising how you don't like Shakedown Street. Last I recall, everyone loved it. :)
Thanks alot, I think I might get Aoxomoxoa I like Shakedown Street, but not as much as the others, it kinda had to grow on me. I tend to appreciate the early 70's more than the late 70's |
I just picked up In The Dark and American Beauty a few days ago, as well as a ton of other albums i borrowed.
Im downloading them now, since our phones and internet were down for 3 days |

Bumped
|
Hah, nice usertitle/song, ATM
|
I love that song.
|
Can't you at least pretend to have something say, so you disguise the bump?
Whenver I try to do it I just say something like "So, Disrael Gears is awesome." .....so, Disraeli Gears is awesome. |
I really enjoyed the Cat Stevens one though, I'd like to hear more.
Yeah, Cat Stevens is pretty good. Anyone like James Taylor? I'v been really into mellow country-folk (Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Cat Stevens) lately, and he's great. |
I love that song.
I had that as a usertitle once. You're following in my footsteps. |
Joe Walsh needs more votes. He's one of the most underrated players out there.
|
Yeah, Cat Stevens is pretty good. Anyone like James Taylor? I'v been really into mellow country-folk (Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Cat Stevens) lately, and he's great.
