Metalcore was sooo good around the late 90's, early 00's.

Yep shame kids can't appreciate that any more.

I got dragged round some blokes house the other week by my best mate to drink before we went out clubbing, and they seriously thought asking alexandria and attack attack were good.

I took over the music and put some new DEP on and all I got was blank faces.

That's why I'm thankful none of my friends listen to any type of metal or core music.

Half my friends listen to metal and dubstep and the other half listen to indie and house music so it's ok I suppose.

Most of my friends dig good metal and core but not to the extent that me and my best friend phil (who's on here) do.

dubstep is good

cool, don't expect anything totally mindblowing but they do things simply and their melodies and song writing is spot on.

Also Dan, did you check out Dead Kings S/T?? they are the band I likened to Misery Signals but a bit heavier

You two should check out Heart in Hand if you already haven't, metalcore/melodic hardcore in the same vein as It Prevails, The Ghost Inside and Defeater.

Isn't It Prevails coming out with a new one again? I really enjoyed [I]The Inspiration[/I], but didn't care too much for [I]Capture & Embrace[/I], hopefully this new one will be more promising.

No idea, The Inspiration was awesome though, I enjoyed Capture and Embrace to a smaller extent too.

Defeater slays, better than TGI and IP

Fo sho, but I really like TGI and It Prevails.

I'm a sucker for that more melodic form of metalcore, yall know this.

for me, ETID rules melodic metalcore, I can't think of better. And one of THE best live bands I've seen

First batch of bands for ghostfest have been announced, bleed from within, devil sold his soul and TRC are the ones I'm excited for no doubt more good bands'll be announced.

Got a mate in leeds so might see if we can stay over, trying to twist phil's arm into going.
