Idk, to be honest....

Mayhem has a large amount of [I]decent[/I] stuff, and Burzum has a small amount of absolute fucking greatness. Take your pick of quantity vs quality, I suppose. I would have to say I prefer Burzum in the end.

Burzum has more good material than Mayhem by a long shot.

Don't get me wrong, the best of Burzum blows the best of Mayhem out of the fucking water, but I think the worst of Burzum is waaay worse than the worst of Mayhem. Everything after Hvis Lyset Tar Oss was absolute shit.

The ambient albums are lol but some of the ideas were just bad keys with the riffs that turned into Belus. Belus itself is amazing, it was Varg's songwriting in prison over years and years. Fallen is rushed and somewhat tired sounding.

I think a few Mayhem albums really rule, and I love Atilla but I would choose Burzum.

No, Varg has like, one horrible album (Daudi Baldrs) and everything else past Filosofem (which is pretty amazing fyi) is decent/mediocre.

And his best songs/albums are way better than Mayhems shit.

I can agree with that somewhat. I don't get why most people don't really like anything after "DMDS". IMO "Chimera" and "Ordo Ad Chao" were both stellar releases. "Wolf's Lair" was alright and "AGDOW" is a fucking embarrassment to the band. I could never really get way into Burzum like some of you and I've been listening to both bands for years. Matter of preference I suppose.

I think this is my favorite Darkthrone album. I listen to it more than any of the earlier albums, and it was before they went all punx rox on us.

My favourite from that period is probably Hate Them.

New Primordial is good but Altar of Plagues new album is AWFUL.

Idk, I like them both.

The new AoP has a really cool production and I like the tracks a lot (especially Feather and Bone), although When the Sun Drowns in the Ocean drags on a bit too much.

The new Primordial is a really solid album, although the first half seems more memorable to me.

Only track that's half decent on Mammal is the first one, the rest are either boring as hell or you get a track like When the Sun Drowns in the Ocean which really has no purpose.
