I'll sell it for $30 and throw in my pig pipe for 10 bucks: http://i30.tinypic.com/2mp0k76.jpg |
holy ****, that pig pipe is amazing.
Yeah. My friend paid 60 bucks for it and traded me my 12 dollar one for it, haha.
I recommend Sonata (the music player) to Txus earlier and figured I might as well actually use it. My prejudice did not fail me; it's a really hot program.

Ship that **** over to MD, Austin.
I used to have a pig pipe that my sister got in Mexico. |
anything non-iTunes sucks, sorry bro.
anything non-iTunes sucks, sorry bro.
If having an e-stroke and mysteriously forgetting half of your music library is a killer feature, then yes, iTunes > *. With mpd, I can control the music from anywhere and it keeps playing even after I shutdown the client program (e.g., Sonata). :) |
If working perfectly with my OS and iPod is a killer feature, then yes.
:-* |
I don't want my music player eating up tons of memory. That's what Faggotfox is for. If I did, I'd use Amarok, which is better than iTunes.
meh, that's only a problem if you have like 256mb of ram.
Well over.
Then it shouldn't be an issue at all.
Then it shouldn't be an issue at all.
iTunes doesn't run on Linux. |
There's your problem!
Hardly what I'd call a 'problem' :p
Amarok is a good program. It can be difficult to sync with ipods but as long as you have the right Libs installed you are ok. Its waaay better than itunes
I haven't got an ipod, only a regular old music-playing usb flash drive, so I wouldn't know yet...
dont get an ipod tbh. the system they use to archive their files is a bitch to try and use with linux. Im just lucky i have an old mac that i use cause its way easier to just put songs on my portableHD and then plug into my mac and then transfer that way rather then try and get the ipod to work on linux. It works fine on GTKpod but its **** and unreliable tbh
I guess a dell mp3 player (for example) is a better choice.
My current guy is really easy to use anywhere. |
try creative

BROBOTS GET ON AIM |
nah use cowon. they play ogg, flac, mp3, m4a and wma and they are linux compatible. plus they are korean and really nice

nah use cowon. they play ogg, flac, mp3, m4a and wma and they are linux compatible. plus they are korean and really nice
123. Chris, I'd reccomend a 4GB D2 for $160 off Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Cowon-Portable-Media-Player-Black/dp/B000OE2OPG/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1202302337&sr=8-2 If you want more space you could also look for an X5 (you may have to get one off ebay though). |
$90 more and you can get a 80gb iPod
except they dont play wma, flac, or ogg. and they dont work well with linux or non itunes which is the whole point of the conversation. do keep up brian. you apple whore
iTunes automatically converts them.
not OGG or FLAC cause mac doesnt even recognise them. At least mine doesnt. Hell my laptop wont even recognise data DVDs
fagget apple laptop. if it werent free... |
lol, where are you getting those files from? I only run into mp3 and m4as
its what linux automaticly converts them to. i could use audacity to convert them in about 2 seconds or just get a codec in about a minute but tbh they all work on my computer so i can live with some songs not being on my ipod. Mostly older CDs though.
Also FLAC is lossless |
hmm.... isn't being lossless indiscernible?
eh i dunno.
$90 more and you can get a 80gb iPod
Well it depends. If you don't need the space then you're saving $90. If you use Linux you'll probably want something non-apple. If I didn't have over 50 gigs of music and/or didn't need to have my library with me I'd get a D2. |
Its all what you want from your player. IM fine with my nano i got for christmas. Its got enough tunes to get me through a car journey and i swap the tunes pretty regular
