This what happens when you start comparing looks. Beauty contests are brutal.

nobodyforeverblossoms 07-27-2006 10:15 AM

But...Sep...eh w/e

FYI to everyone who's like "OMG SCENE BLEH" I'm not really, I dressed like that on purpose and my friend dyed/flatironed my hair.

I don't know why you aren't, you're quite beautiful.

Firecracker 07-27-2006 10:16 AM

I thought you should be Black Ink (i've fuccking forgotten your name AGAIN!! sorry) because you have such a lovely beard.
John i'd just like to make somewhat of a truce with ya because we didn't really get on before so yeah.
Yeah, we've been through that already. But it's cool. Appreciated, too. Never personal. And you were actually one I kind of looked up to when I was a newb. Always liked your username. Rancid Dan. And your outspokeness. One of my favorite posters around. Missed you when you left the Pit for awhile. But it's good leaving that place and contributing elsewhere sometimes. And I know this is your home spot on MX and you are a big booster of Pop-Punk. That's a pretty cool thing.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure our petty shi.t has been settled. And it's a pleasure to post alongside you. Always has been.
John stay here, you're one of the Pit's few coolies.
Hey, thanks man. I'll def hang around here a little more. Someone drag Chill outta bed...:smash:

Hungry Bald Fists 07-27-2006 10:21 AM

Alright then nice one. :chug:
I don't post in here as much, in the old CT i had thousands of posts, but now meh.

BridgeToSolace 07-27-2006 10:21 AM
I also post in the Who thread in R&M and used to post in Punk quite a lot way back when.

Liking punk/pop-punk/music is totally not a requirment for being a regular in this forum.

And apparently neither is good spelling :p

Mark ;)

Most Pit users were decent. Many were good, some great. It was the few crappy users who ruined it for everyone.

Do any of us listen to pop punk on a regular basis?
I know I used to when I first started coming around here. But because of this forum, I've really expanded my music taste.

Black Ink 07-27-2006 10:27 AM

Pop punk has changed since when I first started listening to it. :-/
Do any of us listen to pop punk on a regular basis?
I still to A Wilhelm Scream fairly often. And Say anything, if I could find where I stashed their album.

And I've listened to E11's new album a lot.

Oh no MySpace won't work. :(

Now I must cry blood.

Dead Star 07-27-2006 10:28 AM

I hardly listen to pop-punk now I guess.

I have a direct line to her.

Don't forget, she has a forum you can sign up at, too. 11 members and counting. But it's actually pretty cool. We share music, talk crap, lol, whatever. Me and AZN are SUPERMODS, lmfao...

Chill has really been a breath of fresh air in my MX experience. She apologizes for stuff a lot. For what, I dunno? But she is "sozzy" an awful lot....I just think she is funny as hell...And a sexy pop punk girl if ever there was one. Poll be damned.

nobodyforeverblossoms 07-27-2006 10:29 AM

I've been listening to a lot of Black Metal and Hardcore recently.

Firecracker 07-27-2006 10:29 AM

Oh thank god for that, I thought my dad had blocked it, but no, it doesn't work for everyone, excellent.

BridgeToSolace 07-27-2006 10:30 AM
I've been listening to a lot of Black Metal and Hardcore recently.
Black metal is pretty bad. Oldschool hardcore is lame (too punk) but new school hardcore is pretty schwank.

And John, since when is saying sorry all the time a good thing?

Exactly. That's what I meant. Pardon me, Jon; you're always right.

haha

Yeah. I like punk. Mostly old school. X, Bad Religion, S.D., stuff like that. The Clash. And I do like Green Day. Pop-punk is something I'm a little unfamiliar with, though. Lot's of stuff going on with that genre these days. But I've been getting into newer stuff lately. And I've gotten some good suggestions. Have been listening to Alkaline Trio lately and like what I hear.

Black Ink 07-27-2006 10:35 AM
Sure has, grandpa!
I remeber the day when Dude Ranch was first available at the old record store. Me and Tom Hangly went down there to go pick it up. Now behind that old record store that Blues Mcgee Rime ran was a creek where a lot of the boys in town would go fishing for japanese whiskers. Course Japanese Whiskers was the term back then for what you kids call cat fish. So me and Tom gone and seen some of the boys from the school yard down their dipping their jigs into the creek. We go and see's what they up to when a suddenly Zeus decided to go ahead and drop his might on us all. Tom and I got might wet so we went ahead and hid in the old club house which was located in the tree by the creek. Already in the club house was Molly Sue. Now she was the darned prettiest girl in all the town, and there were Tom and I standing there soaking wet. She dun laugh at us good at that time. Now I wasn't gonna just stand there being laughed at so I said to her "hey there Molly Sue, you may be the prettiest girl in this whole town but that aint a nice of you to go ahead and ring about us being all soaked." And thats how I ended up being arrested for a domestic dispute.

i'd say black metal is more corny than bad. the music itself isn't terrible, but the stuff they sing about, and how they act is outrageous(sp?). some bands have entire albums about "the woods" and go as far as recording the cd in "the woods".

JohnXDoesn't 07-27-2006 11:01 AM

Songs about the woods recorded in the woods? That's gotta be bad....

And thanks for those links, Bridge. rep++. Although it's a completely worthless gimmick, wtf? I'm handing it out like candy. :)

ZaaR 07-27-2006 11:05 AM

ulver are the famous band for "recording in the woods". it's just a rumour, but a lot of sites support it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nattens_Madrigal
