oh man, im typing sp slow to try and get it right the first time. there
It's getting light again, and its 430am so im sleep now byez  wave: :wavr: |
Yeah I've got a question AES.
Are you as dry as you seem when you type in real life? |
Dry?
|
I've tried SD's, I've tried EMG's, I think I need to try some DiMarzios.
|
That would be the logical thing to do.
I've tried EMGs - liked their heavy tones I've tried Seymour Duncans - I hate the JB and the 59. I've heard the Pearly Gates, that sounds pretty good. I've tried Dimarzios - Love the Tone Zone, Air Zone, Air Norton, Blue Velvet, PAF Pros, Blazes, Pro Track and whatever the hell is in my Parker. Basically all the ones I've tried. Need to try some other pickups too. Texas Specials, Bill Lawrences, Bareknuckles, etc. |

I can assure you that I'm a lot more relaxed IRL than how I act on alot of the time here. I've never actually done a runner from any taxis. But I have vomited out of my fair share. |
i actually like seymour duncans alot more then the EMGS i tried.
cant remember if i've ever tried dimarzios. i've tried a couple ibanez's, dont rmemeber model names, dunno if they had dimarzios. |

Texas Specials=best sc's ever imo EDIT: Sloth is a bitch. |

even if he were the way he typed here he would seem pretty cool.
my dads that way, hes strict but fair, so i guess i'm used to it haha. and yer the pearly gates are nice pickups. i have one in the neck of my ibanez. and then a distortion sh6 in the bridge. i wanna get that combo for my les paul also. and funky mike, i thought your dad had a eric clapton with lace sensors, i see them being better then texas specials, from all the hype i hear of. |
Naw, not all the time.
They can be in certain contexts tho |

And the Pearly Gates was in the bridge position on a guy's strat. That guy's a pretty mean guitarist. What do you guys think of SA's? |
im pretty sure the guy from def leppard has sa's in his sig that he was playing last night.
and it sounded really good when playing like solos. it was routed H S S, so when it got like a little thicker sounding id imagine he switched to one of the middle or neck pick ups, or a mix. |
So, whats a good way to beat my guitar hell faster
|

Haha.. What do you mean by 'wow'. I'm dry at the moment because I'm in 'job application writing' mode.
As a key member of the Web Team we have all contributed to persistently achieve a very high standard in work, in many cases under very trying and high-pressure conditions. Cool. I've played on them briefly, I quite liked them. I'd consider getting some of those in a future guitar or something.

Steel wool body suit in 100 degree weather |
Lets see...I've tried Fender, Gibson, EMG, Seymour Duncan and a few DiMarzio's. I use EMG (85/SA/SA) and Seymour Ducan (SH-5/'59) in the two guitars I have. I over all prefer Seymour Ducan but I like both the tones of DiMarzio and EMG. I did have an Ibanez RG550 with DiMarzio Steve's Special/Blue Velvet/Air Norton in it but I sold it.
I would love to get a Surf Green Fender Strat with Rosewood fretboard and Texas Specials one day. I'm still waiting to try Bare Knuckles though. My friend has a Nailbomb and his tone is good but I haven't played with it. |

But you've made some funnies here, like you closed that one thread and said 'this is like the pope on his morning jog, it's going nowhere.' That looks like some mighty fun job application writing to me. (Good lord!) |
So, whats a good way to beat my guitar hell faster
play it. and go everywhere with it. don't bring it in a bag or anything. it would look too cheap if you did it on purpose and you could probably tell. |
yeah, i didn't mean faking it up
|
Strict but fair.. Yeah that sounds about right.
My old man was a lot like that. And still is. He manages a car smash repair workshop. And keeps telling me about the useless apprentises they get in. These kids are late teens early 20's and just need a good kick up the backside. They've got little or no work ethic, it's like they'd prefer to sit out of a challenge. Being useless is just a huge waste. Why would you want to be useless throughout your life? Where's peoples passions to better themselves? Where's peoples desire to want to be challenged? If you just lay low and scrape through as one of the crowd you're just being lazy and cheating yourself. *Aes's wanky self help rant* |
I liked it.
|
Nice.
I wouldn't want to be a couch potato just scraping by. I'd like to be doing something. I have the fantasy of changing the world with my face-melting shred which can be viewed in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daZPT9psrDY (sarcasm, it's wank) but I'm also trying to be realistic. |
I can hardly stand stay quiet. I hate lying around...even when I'm sick. People like that piss me off.
|
yer my dad is a mechanic, and i'm going into auto body next year for school. so hes all proud of that. haha.
i agree with people not wanting a challenge. its stupid, my dad was telling me today about what he did on our van, it took him 15 minutes to do it, and it was a 90 bucks per side job. its simple stuff that people arent willing to give a try, and learn about. |
I'm planning on going to some college to do psychology or audio engineering and also get some music theory courses in. Later I might go to UNT to do jazz stuff. I'm 17, and because I usually stay up late at night and stuff like my brother does, my mom thinks that I might turn out doing the same thing he did, and she wants to actually give me a sort of bedtime during the summer. I find this humorous.
Man, I hate parents. Being one is a bit of an odd situation tho. You have to dictate everything a child can do at a very young age, teach them what you think is right and wrong and all that, all the while not understading a hell of a lot of subjects well enough to actually try to teach or decide about. And then, as they get older, slowly pulling away from 'raising' a kid seems to be an awkward task for both parent and child. A mature discussion with mom could help, if she allows this sort of thing. How this would help you, how it would help the situation she believes is happening, weither this would help solve a root issue or just cover a symptom of something else, blah blah... /don't mind me |
When I was in high school, my Auto Tech teacher was telling the class about a past student of his that owns a Car Shop about 30 minutes away. He helped him learn pretty much all that guy could ever do right.
So what he was telling us was that Auto mechanics make a set pay per hour even if they finish before that time...they still get paid for that hour. So he told us that his past student did all of his stuff fast and 100% right. Like a 1:30 job took him 15-30 minutes...so at the end of the day he got like 50 hours of work for a 10 hour job. Our teacher was trying to tell us that time is money and when you take less time you can earn more money, etc. He was saying that the new kids around now just take their sweet little old time and spend the 1:30 on that one job...saying kids today don't challenge themselves to do better. |

I want one so bad, but I want another 7 stringer. But I need an amp first  ^^^50 hours in one day lawl |
