I'm still holding out hope for We Followed Tigers to quit school and make a full length. It's a terribly selfish hope, but it'd be great for good post-rock.
Oh, and to whoever asked, EF is good,k but fairly generic. I don't recall their songs at the moment, as it's been a while since I've listened to the album I have by them, but I don't remember being terribly mindblown. |
I'm going to cum iv WFT release some more material.

nah its better that they just release eps, it's part of what makes them good because they dont drag out their releases for the sake of being like godspeed |
The Ocean - Precambrian is a knock-out title. Just heard that yesterday.

dude this is a post-rock thread
holy ****, dial-up? I pity you mate
It's like slowly, rhythmically and consistently smashing your face against concrete. Thanks for the sympity. :) :(
they have one full-length called Book About My Idle Plot on Vague Anxiety. i havent heard that one yet, all i have is Songs, Ideas We Forgot EP (yeah its a legit release). i plan on getting that album soon though
Good to know they have a full length. Do you not have The New Sentimentality EP? I could upload that this weekend for you after my phone line gets fixed. |

Yndi Halda - Enjoy Eternal Bliss My Education - Bad Vibrations Since (Time) - Entropiate This Will Destroy You - Young Mountain and s/t pg.lost - It's Not Me, It's You! Sigur Ros - Agaetis Byrjun and Takk |

Yeah, and I wanna refer to this kinda stuff as 'Post-Gloom'. It's a brand new sub-genre sweeping the pubs and back alley cigar bars, and you heard it here first! |
Anyone heard of a band called The Ten Colour Accord?
Don't know if they've been mentioned in this thread at all so far. I'm sort of a newcomer to Post Rock so I don't know if they really come under this category, but they're full of soundscapes and atmospherics. Use of vocals is very limited, mostly used for melody. They're also extremely piano driven, often carrying the melody with the guitars filling the rest of the atmosphere. Lots of hard crashing drums as well with cymbal sounds used extremely well. You'd be hard fought to find any of there stuff though. The best you can do is pretty much listen to the tracks on their Myspace. The EP that is listed on the Myspace is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time. Let me know what you think! http://www.myspace.com/thetencolouraccord |

Not a bother.
I'll post again when I've done that. It's a nice little nugget. Only 4 songs but they rule. |
yeah their drummer is insane
|
lack of human bell fans here is disturbing. everyone should hear the self titled. like now or so.
tbh i doubt there will ever be new we followed tigers. they havent put out anything new in a couple years now. i actually dont mind, the handful of songs theyve made are all brilliant, they have a spotless record. i would rather just enjoy those songs forever than have them put out a full length and tarnish their perfection with **** that inevitably finds its way onto full lengths, filler and weaker songs. |
