Mes·ca·le·ro Pronunciation Key (msk-lār)
n. pl. Mescalero or Mes·ca·le·ros 1. An Apache tribe formerly inhabiting southern New Mexico, western Texas, and north-central Mexico, with a present-day population in southern New Mexico. 2. A member of this tribe.
That may help. |

I've been getting into the Clash latly. My mate is a big fan, and I decied I'd take a listen.
It's weird with the Clash, because some of their tunes are just supeerior to others. I like obviously most of their popular ones, like; I fought the law. London calling. Rock the Casbah. Revolution Rock. Know your rights. Brand new cadalic. White riot. Should I stay or should I go? Anybody suggest some more tunes I should get hold of? I wanna' get some albums soon. |

popular tunes: Complete Control Janie Jones Rudie Cant Fail (coolest. song. ever.) Tommy Gun Safe European Home Stay Free White Man In Hammersmith Palais Death Or Glory Im Not Down Hateful Guns of Brixton Koka Kola Clampdown Spanish bombs Capital Radio One Different Tunes but definantely worth a look The Card Cheat Somebody Got Murdered The Magnificent Seven Armigeddion Time Car Jamming (reminds me of mars volta for some reason , maybe its the girl singing on it) Charlie Cant Surf Straight To Hell Washington Bullets Lovers Rock Jimmy Jazz (hella good) Wrong Em Boyo (cover) the crooked beat Police and Theives (ucking brilliant cover song) and theres like a million hundred other awesome songs I have not mentioned' The Clash is like fine wine , and sweetens with age after a while you'll probably dig some of the more left field songs which will make you understand the total awesomeness of the clash |
A test they did in the 60s and 70s with LSD and other types of drugs named "acids". Psycadelic drugs and such. A doctor (can't remember his name, wrote a book called Electric Kool Aid something or other) used to give acid to some people and watch how they reacted etc.
Acid Test usually refers to how gold was tested for authenticity. It would be dropped in acid and if it dissolved it wasn't gold. So the phrase acid test has come to mean the ultimate test or test that really proves something once and for all. |
oh i see now.
my dad called me from san antonio yesterday, and streetcore was playing in his truck  silver and gold |
The way it was used seem to make reference to taking acid and being part of the electric kool aid acid test, but maybe I'm just too into a drug reference here.
