Untitled 09-09-2005 02:08 AM

I have college this morning, but i dont have to be in til 1030.

Puma 09-09-2005 02:28 AM

I don't have to do anything. How lame is that?

DepthsOfDreams555 09-09-2005 05:46 AM

I'm leaving for school in like 30 minutes.

There wasn't a post in a LONG time.

Gnarmageddon 09-09-2005 05:50 AM

Haha. 3 hours isn't that long.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-09-2005 05:51 AM

Well I didn't mean to overexaggerate it haha I guess its not to long.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-09-2005 06:11 AM

Its tough to watch the YSI thread go off the front page. I gotta go to school be back later.

Yeah, MX was really moving in the Northern Hemisphere summer holidays but now everyone's back to school and it's slowed down majorly.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-09-2005 06:13 AM

Haha and also my MX was running so slow last night.

Well, it seems to run pretty fast for such a big bitch of a site.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 09:39 AM

Afternoon all.

Kif 09-09-2005 09:56 AM

Afternoon all: Part 2!

I downloaded FOB collecting their VMA today, so I don't need to sit through about 2 hours of needless parading and poor performances.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 09:57 AM

I've decided not to go to Badminton, but stay online this evening :(

Untitled 09-09-2005 10:01 AM

i was planning on getting in at 1ish, like i did, and watching cricket striaght threw till 6, but stupid bad light stoped the play. Its not even that bad, the aussie batsmen decided not to bat though  now its not been on for 2 whole hours.

So listening to random Funeral For A Friend songs reminded me of when we went to see them. My friend was wearing his FFAF shirt on the Friday, and our form tutor thought it was inappropriate because of the July bombings. We had to explain to her that it was a band, and she got very confused

ChodaBoy 09-09-2005 10:31 AM

What was on the t-shirt?

Kif 09-09-2005 10:42 AM

Just the band name

Untitled 09-09-2005 10:43 AM

lol, i had a great coverstation with some girls from college after the boxing day thing, they said "Erw, isnt it sick theres a band called tsunami bomb" so i went "stfu, theyve been out for years" so they said "oh"

Dead Star 09-09-2005 10:44 AM

How does that link to the London Bombings?

Kif 09-09-2005 10:56 AM

I have no idea, but apparently it's offensive. God, I hate this lifestyle we live in, where everyone is offended by the slightest thing. They interpret things like that as offensive, and then go on a neverending quest to ban whatever it is.

Untitled 09-09-2005 11:07 AM

In graphics today our teachers where saying the head staff dont want us to go on our londen trip in case we get bombed, but the graphics teachers said that they'll try and get us going, and thats stupid.

Kif 09-09-2005 11:10 AM

Your head staff are morons. I know they are looking out for safety of the students, but what the hell kind of reason is that? Most of the London community haven't let it ruin their lives and experiences, so why not you?

Man, it's been weird lately. Ever since I've started Media Studies, and we've looked at just how much media dominates the world, I've started thinking more about the news and opinions and stuff. I mean, sure, I had them before this, but I never voiced them. I realize a lot of the things I'll say have been said before, but whatever.

Untitled 09-09-2005 11:13 AM

I always watch the news and stuff, im pretty interested in world polotics and stuff. Im not that knowledageable but i still like it.

I Lie. I Cheat. I Steal. 09-09-2005 11:24 AM

We're doing a News project in media for one our exams. Could be interesting :-/

I hate the way everyone's slating media, saying it's an easy subject? Uh I don't think so? I'm top of the class in a good class and I'm only getting an A so it can't be that easy. It's making my GCSE look bad :(

An A is awesome. Theres not that much difference between an A and an A* is there?

Yeah an A is great but the subject obviously isn't that easy if I'm not getting an A* :p

Yeah, I think there is quite a difference...

Is that a joke? You're complaining it can't be easy, although you are top of your class and getting an A?! Be grateful for that.

It's gonna be twice as hard for me, because 2 of my media lessons clash with my music tech lessons, which take prioroty since I've been doing that for a year already. So I'm going to have to work twice as hard.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 12:00 PM

My mum and dad have just been talkign about how poor exams are now.

Apparently in one of the GCSE's this year, 18% is a C !

Yeah, I read another is 43% for an A. I'm not sure which exam, but still, it seems the standards are dropping. I think I did OK in my GCSE's, although I know I could've done better (1 B, 2 Ds, the rest were C's).

This year I hope to redeem myself in Music Tech and focus as hard as I fucking can

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 12:04 PM

Yeah, if they are dropping still, i'm hoping to get an A or two maybe this yar.

Bad Blood 09-09-2005 12:10 PM

Wouldn't that mean the questions are getting more difficult?

Black Ink 09-09-2005 12:25 PM

S'up everyone?

Schools pretty sweet. My new room mate and I are getting along great (even though he's already walked in once on me and my gf :o ) and our room has already been called the sweetest one so alot of stuff is gonna happen in here. If I can get pics of my room eventually I'll post them up.

My radio show is going to be Tuesdays 2-4 (EST time) so I'll put up a link before we go on the air in like 2 weeks if anyone cares to listen. Homework consists of around 250 pages of reading between all my classes over this weekend so it kind of sucks, but atleast I don't have to write anything. The only other assignment I have is for my Language and Arts of Radio and thats to listen to the radio for an hour or so and write down what I hear and stuff.

Tonight = Jimmy Eat World and Green Day so I''ll check back up tomorrow if I'm free but otherwise I hope the rest of you guys are having sweet times and what not.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 12:39 PM

Cool Mark, sounds like you're having fun.

No, Ben it means they're getting easier.

Yer, we was reading that in the paper today, its for maths, we was saying that we are sure it was at least 50% for a C when we did maths.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 12:45 PM

Yeah, i thought it was always about 50%...

The exams wont be getting easier, they'll be the same, its just the grades are going down.

I hate parents that complian that exams are getting easier, there just jeliouse that the new generation is cleverer then them.

Angry Balled Fists! 09-09-2005 12:51 PM

I have a rotting apple infront of me...

Lucky you...

I've just been doing my biology coursework. It's doing my head in. I don't take in a word that my teacher says, she's so annoying.

Bad Blood 09-09-2005 12:57 PM
