Yeah, it was really great.
|
"Say auf widersehen to your Nazi balls."
So many good quotes. The last scene in the movie theater is incredibly awesome. |
when brad pitt said buonjearno i think something inside of me died in a good way
|
It's also funny that the guy who doesn't speak any Italian at all doesn't get asked to repeat his name by the German, as if he has a perfect accent.
Which reminds me, I had a huge LOL in the first scene when Landa moves from speaking French to English, because it's so intentionally ham-handed that I think it's meant to produce a laugh, but I don't think anyone else in the audience got it. |
Yeah I laughed at that part, as did most of my theater. It was packed but everyone got the movie perfectly, was a really great experience to have EVERYONE laugh at gnatzis getting scalped
|
i like how the movie in the movie parallels us watching the movie
like when hitler's laughing at the guy sniping americans everyone around was like 'oh that's so bad' and then laughs at the nazi scalping/bashing heads in etc gj tarantino |
they were both hilarious. some of the shots of americans being killed were so ridiculous haha
|
BJ Novak's character was hilarious.
|
hans landa is simply the best character tarentino has ever made
|
My gf is trying to make me go see this tonight. :/
|
BJ Novak's character was hilarious.
He had like two lines. Also, yeah, Hans was an incredible character, and the dude who played him should win an award. |

|
He had like two lines.
Also, yeah, Hans was an incredible character, and the dude who played him should win an award.
according to wikipedia the actor who played him actually spoke all the languages hans spoke in the movie |
according to wiki the first choice was also supposed to be leonardo dicaprio. despite my love for LEO thank god he couldnt do it
dude come here :)
its much more fun
unless you're living in detroit, michigan ain't **** compared to da dirty. **** indiana is harder, try going to gary. |
Such a good movie. I was kinda bummed I had to see the employee screening of it instead of seeing it with an actual packed theater; that would have been awesome.
Regardless, awesome movie. The Bear Jew is my role model. The skull bashing scene was just brutal and hilarious-- very Tarantino. |
have you guys seen "pieces"?
|

The opening scene in that farmer's house when the music is building up and up my heart was about ready to jump out of my chest. Dude better get recognized at the Oscars/BAFTAS/Grammy's this year. |
That whole scene was amazing. I had a huge shit-eating grin on my face during the entire thing.
Yeah, that scene was pretty awesome. "You get this for killing Jews?" "No, I got it for bravery." |
I loved that movie so hard. I went at midnight the night it came out. All the scenes with Italian were hilarious, and the whole movie theater thing was just awesome. Brad Pitt and the Landa dude were incredible.
|
Looks like just another Tarantino movie tbh. Flame me I don't care.
|
Oh, you mother****er.
Looks like just another Tarantino movie tbh. Flame me I don't care.
it is. that's pretty much why it's awesome. it's also Tarantino's finest though. also, best scene: when Fredrick shoots Shoshanna, amirite? |
spoilers
also, best scene: when Fredrick shoots Shoshanna, amirite?
Aha, and the reel just keeps playing and they're lying there. Also the shootout in the tavern with the Basterds up above, and after the last remaining German surrenders to let Diane Kruger go up, and she ends up being the one blowing him away. That whole tavern scene was one of my favorites, the classic Tarantino Mexican standoff. |
Whatevs nubs.
