I thought you left, Mark. Good to see that you didn't.

Now get on with those stripper stories. :naughty:
I just went to Montreal. The whole leaving thing was a joke.

So we get to the strip club (Super Sexe, if you're in Montreal, go there) and we grab a table and my friends order a bucket of drinks (I got water since I don't drink) and with the bucket comes a free lap dance. So we picked out a girl and my friend John got the dance (although don't tell his gf  ). Then we saw the girl of my dreams from last year who gave me lap dance last year. This woman is beeeeaaaaauutiful. Anyway she was actually giving out private lesbian shows with another girl. $100 for 15 mins. So they ask us if we wanted one and after the other girl shoved her massive boobs in my friends face to convince him to go we all went up to see it. It would only cost us $25 each for it (4 of us) and the next 15 mins....well...they were heaven.

Why is that important?

Tip #1: Type properly. Yes we care about grammar because we like to read what you have to say. If u type leik dis den we wont read it.

Tip#2: Most nights are slow nights, don't try to speed them up by double or triple posting. Double posts are ok if you respond to one post, and then immediatly respond to a different post that wasn't there before. Otherwise it makes you look lame.

In response to tip #1: I have read a thread (hey that rhymes) in which a considerably large argument was created when people argued over quantity of "internet slang" used in a certain posters posts. I wish strongly that this will not happen as I am still fairly new to the forum. Yet I would like to ask if it is acceptable to take out the apostrophe(sp?) in "I'm" or to leave it uncapitalized in the name of efficiency(again, sp?)? Or how about axing the "w" off of the word "know?" I also wonder about replacing the word "what" with "wut", or "your" with "ur" or "yer." What say you of typing "dont" instead of "don't?" I do not want to start an argument over the mere issue of internet posting grammar, just to make a point and make it known that I slightly disagree.

On tip/point #2: I admit i have double posted (a few posts up in this thread) and in other places on the forum. For that, I apologize. I shall try harder not to make this mistake in the future. As for triple posting, I just don't post often enough for it to occurr(once more, sp?).

Good-heartedly and with the best of intentions, Grant

The reason I joined was because I wanted to make a badass music list. And thats pretty much the only part of my page that I maintain.

cbmartinez 08-08-2005 10:33 PM

I did that at first. Then you realize how lame you look and you just put albums.

Acceptable for shorter posts (such as this), but gets annoying when a post starts running into paragraphs.

Can't go wrong with that.

Honestly, people will take you more seriously if you type better and you'll become a better poster just for taking the effort to type normally.

oh, I love it, I noticed you did albums though.

Its fun, and it makes you feel proud cause all of your friends have bad taste in music.

Thank you, Black Ink for your (I hope in the future) invaluable advice. :thumb:
I suggest that you cite this incident in the thread in which one can gain rep for being helpfull. I don't recall the exact name of the thread, but I think it was in the Pit.

Mute Print 08-08-2005 10:45 PM

I don't need myspace to show me that my friends have bad taste in music, as it is way too obvious already.

Though, I'm in the process of making one to show off my taste in music anyway.

I did that. I spent two hours or so typing out a list.

Turns out, people from my school actually copied and pasted several bands from my list to make theirs more substantial.

"Hey, I didn't know you liked The Fall Of Troy!"

"The fall of who? Isn't that a gay brad pitt movie?"

/jon cries because his hopes were dashes

Type good, talk casual.

 Maybe someone I know will read the list and check out some of the bands (that's my hope at least), because all my friends are into pop/rap/nu-metal, and it's really annoying when they have no clue who I'm talking about. Even semi-mainstream bands such as Brand New and Taking Back Sunday are foreign to them. It's kind of funny, but it's also really sad.

I'm look none of my friends like nu-metal.

Then again, people who like nu-metal might not be my friends...because they like nu-metal.

I've got a ska head friend, and psuedo-emo friend (Who I'm trying to get rid of), a Kiss friend, and then a whole bunch of classic rock friends.

Classic rock is big at my school. I think it's because all the pot dealers listen to it.

I could deal with having a ska friend. I listen to a bit of ska, so it would be better than what I deal with.

Ska is a lot of fun to play. It's just happy, upbeat music.

I got him into ska in the first place, so I have no problem wth.

Yes, yes it does.

I have heard a Bob Dylan song that I enjoyed that. "A hard Rain's Gunna Fall" or something like that.

His voice was ****, but I love acoustics.

I've used my cellphone all of 5 minutes last month.

I have little use for it.
