Apoc 12-02-2009 09:02 PM

i piss on your chat

Txus 12-02-2009 09:03 PM

Nah, I dropped off law school. I'm having a better life now but my dad still kinda hates me, haha.

Sup with you Brian?

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:07 PM

Not much. Just been working and going to school. I also got a DUI about a month ago. That was fun.

Txus 12-02-2009 09:09 PM

hah, that's why I don't drive anymore.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:13 PM

I blew .10 and passed the field sobriety tests. The only reason the cop had to probable cause on me was I had just left bar and so I had the alcohol fresh on my breath. If I had the money for a lawyer I could probably beat it.

Apoc 12-02-2009 09:17 PM

.10 is legally drunk

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:21 PM

Yes, but there is more to the law than that. Such as breathylizers are not completely accurate, and BAC rises and drops like a bell curve, etc.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:27 PM

Monday at 2

Should've requested a blood-test back at the station.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:30 PM

I should have, but that was the first I was in that sort of situation. I took the station breath test because I thought I would pass it based on how I did with the field tests.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:37 PM

Can't afford it. For me to have real representation I would have to go out of town for it, seeing how the judge and lawyers are all in collusion with each other. Boy do I love living in podunk Mississippi.

I did have a consult with a lawyer I was very impressed with, but the cash is just not there for me.

Tyler 12-02-2009 09:41 PM

Considering you drove drunk you pretty much deserve whatever is coming to you.

TimJim 12-02-2009 09:45 PM
Considering you drove drunk you pretty much deserve whatever is coming to you.
thats cold

Aaron 12-02-2009 09:46 PM

What's the worst that happens? You lose your licence and get a fine?

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:47 PM

It's okay, he is my moral superior.

@Aaron: 3 to 12 month suspended lisence, $250 to $1000 fine, alcohol safety course, high risk insurance for three years, and the DUI permanently on my criminal record.

Angmar 12-02-2009 09:52 PM

Driving drunk is stupid tbh.

Aaron 12-02-2009 09:53 PM

Sux.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:54 PM

.10 is not really that drunk. Like said before I showed no actual impairments in my field tests. It's one of those situations where I thought I was under but ended up having one too many.

Stormrider 12-02-2009 09:55 PM

the limit here is .08, and we're the only province in Canada who still has it that high.

Pretty sure they're trying to pass the law to lower it to .05 like every other province.

Aaron 12-02-2009 09:57 PM

Here it's .05 and they're considering .02 I think. I once blew 0.385 at a pub.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 09:59 PM

I wish they had something like that here. So you could check yourself before you leave. Now to prevent anything like that happening again I refuse to drink at a bar.

nevertoolate 12-02-2009 10:02 PM

yeah same Aaron, but directly after a swig of bourbon at the end of a night
.05 is pretty ridiculous tbh.

.02 could fail you for mouthwash.
yeah its bullpoop

TimJim 12-02-2009 10:03 PM

yay for lame Australian road laws!

nevertoolate 12-02-2009 10:04 PM

doesnt keep the road toll down either

Tyler 12-02-2009 10:06 PM

Not that drunk makes it sound like you still know you were risking it. Again, you deserve everything (and probably more) that comes to you.

Frankly, people who drive drunk should just plow into a wall and save us all the trouble of pretending to pity them.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 10:09 PM

I love your black and white mentality.

gmoneyguy 12-02-2009 10:10 PM
You can buy a breath thing for not too much money, but they make disclaimers on their accuracy. Which wouldn't help a lot if you were borderline like here.
I'm pretty much just gonna avoid bars, and drinking at places I can't crash at.

Jaundice 12-02-2009 10:16 PM

legal limit thing is lame

like five times my parents have taken me to the emegency room for drinking just so they could tell me i was three times the limit and send me home. it takes like two beers in an hour to get to the legal limit, and according to my parents that's enough to get legitimately drunk.

they also told me drinking four beers at one time is strictly for alcoholics, i don't know what that's about however.
