lucky. i want to see them, but the tickets are way too expensive.:(

JamJar 06-27-2006 12:17 PM

Yes the tickets are way too expensive. They weren't as bad as Maiden tickets though. Still £28 is enough.

Darkness 06-27-2006 12:41 PM

I paid 80 bucks Canadian for my ticket...

One Groovin Clown 06-29-2006 11:15 AM

I paid roughly around the same. I got 9th row balcony seats right beside the stage. The last 2 concerts i've been at i've been right beside the stage.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-29-2006 11:26 AM

I got mine for 65 US dollars. They were the priciest tickets available, so I figured I might as well get them. :p

So how long is it taking for these Tool shows to sell out?

Prince of Darkness 06-29-2006 12:07 PM

What ever happened to the Vicarious music video?

Adam Jones is GOD 06-29-2006 12:26 PM

Im hoping it'll air sometime in July.

Tool added Opiate to their setlist last night I read. Why couldnt they have done that for the UK gigs?

YouGottaBeCrazy 06-29-2006 12:28 PM
What ever happened to the Vicarious music video?
haha yeah right

kinda makes you wonder what the point of releasing the video is now.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-29-2006 12:29 PM

I want to hear The Gaping Lotus Experience live.

Ben - stfu, you saw Tool.

Yeah but they missed out Sober so it's not as good imo.

Motor boats Knife!, motor boats!!! And relax a little more! Not bad though. Are you a tenor or close? Your voice sounds kinda light, tonewise.

denboy 06-30-2006 09:14 AM

Thanks for listening.. Hehe.. And yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm a tenor.. And what does "motorboating" help with?

Anonymity 06-30-2006 07:14 PM

I really enjoy the composition of Third Eye from tool, I wonder how they were able to pull off the complixity of that song live, it just amazes me.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-30-2006 08:00 PM

Complexity? I'd call it eccentricity, and Tool can pull that off without a hitch.

Syncratic 06-30-2006 08:48 PM

Nice user title, Jake.

I personally LOVE 'Digital Bath' the best, though.

Anonymity 06-30-2006 09:41 PM

Hehe, that sounds about right, Tool has been together long enough to understand that, I bet its easy as eating an apple. But when I hear it, my mind can't even begin to comprehend it all.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-30-2006 11:26 PM

Syncratic - I prefer Digital Bath to Rx Queen, but who wouldn't want to be referred to as "Rx Queen?"

Anonymity - I actually am not sure if that either. Adam Jones makes it sounds like it seriously sucks to make music with Tool, but that in the end, the reward is greater than the blood/sweat/tears lost. :-/

Kage 06-30-2006 11:30 PM

I recall the awesome song titles of White Pony being one of the reasons I bought it in the first place. One of the best impulse purchases I've ever made.

What do you mean Adam Jones doesnt like working with Tool? is this from an interview?

I really love how Tool can have a phycological work on a persons mind. For instance the song "Die Eier Von Satan" the first 3 words are not within the english language so its unknown what those 3 words denote. The word Satan however is the one that stands out, so thoughts begin to wonder around in your head thats not good. So you hear the song and it has a very dark, morbid creepy sound, including that german voice that just tops it off. YOu dont know what the hell he's saying, but there's alot of emphasis behind the voice. So you think if this band is satanic or not which they've been rewarded with plenty of times. But then you find out that its just a reciept for cake and the words the title translateds "The Eggs of Satan" lol, I dont know about you guys, but people judge to quickly and when they find out it was just some joke, you look stupid after words. The greatest modern man around.

Moses 07-01-2006 09:32 AM

I really love Aenima right now. Such a great album. I could listen to Third Eye all day.

I'm also digging Aenima at the moment. Awesome stuff.

btw, congrats on your 7000th post!:thumb:

Moses 07-01-2006 11:14 AM

Yeah, I usually don't notice it when I pass another thousand.

SmashingPumpkin 07-02-2006 10:14 PM

Does anyone know where I can find any good Tool bootlegs?

Huber 07-02-2006 10:31 PM

youtube.com
youtube.com
Sorry, I meant like audio files.

SmashingPumpkin 07-05-2006 12:44 AM

Nevermind, I found the Oklahoma Show. VERY awesome.

And I'd like to provide a link for all of you.

www.bandsvideos.com

They have 4 full Tool concert videos on there. I downloaded the one from '92. It's pure awesomeness especially becasue the club they played at was so small. Really intimate.
