Hey fellow Met-fans

Why don't Nickelback actually write some music like that instead of what they spew out themselves?

i've not tried eBay yet, i thought i'd offer them to die-hard 'tallica fans first. however, i will be putting these on eBay by saturday if i receive no offers on here.
thanks
They're extremely rare, ebay if you're lucky. A record store if you're very lucky. I once saw one in HMV in Oxford Street, London, a couple years ago or so. It was summin like 60 quid or so.

£60? Maaaaan.
I've only found like 10 songs on Ares so far. Guess I'll have to scour Ebay.
Why don't Nickelback actually write some music like that instead of what they spew out themselves?
Because they aren't metallica.:thumb:

Nickelback should stop writing crappy rock and pursue metal instead. Kroeger has an awesome voice and its a waste that its being used on crap rock.

Jev 05-23-2006 05:26 AM

Yeah I could see Chad fronting a decent Metal band.

He'll never be as awesome as James.

Clunge 05-23-2006 05:28 AM

Chad has always reminded me of James whenever I've seen him play live, very similar styles.

Jev 05-23-2006 05:29 AM

Similar hair too...
When Hetfield had it long.

Fix'd :p

Jev 05-23-2006 05:30 AM

Dave is in another league.
A god amongst men.

Chu 05-23-2006 05:35 AM

Haha, that's awesome man :)

Jev 05-23-2006 05:39 AM

This thread has been getting quieter recently. I wish they'd hurry up and release the album.

Huber 05-23-2006 08:20 AM

Word, I used to be in the top number of posts in here. Now I just can't find anything to say about Metallica.

edit: Oh shi... I still have 640. That's surprising.

Jev 05-23-2006 09:13 AM

I still have lots to say :thumb:

victim of changes 05-23-2006 02:32 PM

Ride the Lightning.

Ride The Lightning.

Jev 05-23-2006 05:57 PM

Where are the RTL fanboys ?

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 05:59 PM

Right here.

Atica 05-23-2006 06:05 PM

Ride the Lighting is awesome!!!

Bazarov 05-23-2006 06:09 PM

I'm kind of stuck between RTL and ...AJFA. They both have such awesome songs.

shinedown_is#1 05-23-2006 06:32 PM

Does anyone no how to listen to a song and figure out what chordes are being played in the song?

Atica 05-23-2006 06:41 PM
Does anyone no how to listen to a song and figure out what chordes are being played in the song?
First of all you must have an idea of the sound of some chords, then listen to the song as many times as you need and trying some chords in order to get them. Just need to agilize your ear.

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 06:57 PM
I'm kind of stuck between RTL and ...AJFA. They both have such awesome songs.
Yeah me too.

Blackened > Fire
RTL = AJFA
FWTBT > Beholder
FTB = One
Straw > Ice
Escape > Harvester (yeah, yeah I know, and I don't care)
Death = Sanity
Ktulu > TLITD
And well, Dyers Eve just slays.

Joe 05-23-2006 08:57 PM

^^ I actually don't think we've done that...

I'll do puppets and rtl

Battery >>> FFWF
MOP > RTL
FWTBT >>>>>>>>> TTTSNB (I hate that song)
FTB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sanitarium (even though I like Sanitarium)
Disposable Heros > Trapped Under Ice
Leper Messiah > Escape (just because of the bridge/solo part in LM)
Crepping Death > Orion
Ktulu = Damage Inc. Never really a fan of Damage Inc.

I pretty much agree with the RTL/AJFA debate except Fade to Black is much better than One and I like TLITD much better than Ktulu.
Does anyone no how to listen to a song and figure out what chordes are being played in the song?
It's not too hard if you really know the band and its style. For example, I figured out the die chant in Creeping Death just because they're similar chords from many songs.

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 09:04 PM

Aw, I love TTTSNB.

I'll do one on some more albums later.

Riva 05-23-2006 10:19 PM

I'd agree wtih that, except Beholder > For Whom The Bell Tolls

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 10:20 PM

Yuck. Beholder is too repetitive for me.

Hmm, for me it would be same except Creeping Death = Orion. And Ktulu > Damage Inc., and probably Leper Messiah < Escape.
Where are the RTL fanboys ?
Ride The Lightning ftw;

Lionheart1827 05-24-2006 01:47 AM

Ride the Lightning has always been my favorite metallica album.

It just has that weird feel to it that even to this day I can't really put a finger on. All of the songs are really fun to play on it, too.

RTL has that super beefy long solo that I just love, and then well, Creeping Death just slays.:thumb:

Jev 05-24-2006 04:43 AM

Maybe the raised tuning is to blame

Joe 05-24-2006 08:01 AM
Where are the RTL fanboys ?
At your service :thumb:

Ride the Lighting just barely beats out Master of Puppets. I can easily listen to RTL all the way through, whereas on MOP I have to skip a song.

blue3 05-24-2006 08:03 AM

Which song is that?

Joe 05-24-2006 08:05 AM
Which song is that?
The Thing That Should Not Be. I can't stand that song.

blue3 05-24-2006 08:10 AM

Oh okay. I like that song. I like MOP more than RTL.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-24-2006 08:12 AM
Oh okay. I like that song.
lol fag
