New Augury finally leaked, I'll listen after I'm done with the new Manowar

and everyone go get Destroyer 666

asSi1v3RfaNgsburn 06-13-2009 06:40 PM

just finished new Augury

pros:
awesome fretless bass as expected
great production
the acoustic interludes/intro are instant chills down the spine(humanoid on steroids)
some of the guest vocals are great and add vocal variety

cons:
pirate vocals
drags sometimes
main growls are generic

Deth 06-13-2009 06:43 PM

wish I was listening to that instead of the shitty new Manowar but it's my metal duty to sit through this

RetiredAt21 06-13-2009 07:42 PM

It'd be more metal to call Manowar out on how much they suck nowadays.

Deth 06-13-2009 07:50 PM

the EP was awful and I knew it would be, but I had no choice

still the 15 versions of Father in different languages is pretty lol

Moon Flavor 06-13-2009 08:45 PM

ima get the new augury now... honestly i'm not expecting that much even though the band has potential out the butthole

DBlitz 06-13-2009 08:52 PM

oh right, i remember downloading new augury sometime yesterday

might as well listen to it now

Deth 06-13-2009 09:04 PM

it's alright

asSi1v3RfaNgsburn 06-13-2009 09:05 PM

not enuff crushing riffs

RetiredAt21 06-13-2009 09:06 PM

Well, crushing riffs are a must for deaf metal.

Deth 06-13-2009 09:12 PM

basically

just not my style of dm anymore

bass is pretty sexy so far

what the **** are pirate vocals? i'm guessing its the "singing"

ok nvm. Sovereigns Unknown = pirate vocals

haven't heard new album but is that reffering to the 'clean' singing on songs like Alien Shores?

McP3000 06-14-2009 02:45 AM

masscows 06-14-2009 10:59 AM

new destroyer 666 is a little disappointing, only 2 really good songs so far

Angmar 06-15-2009 12:57 PM

You guys ever heard of Dream Death? I ran across their page on MA and I'm downloading their album, seems promising.

Anthracks 06-15-2009 01:29 PM

got that awhile ago im not even sure if i listened to it yet

FatalEnergy 06-15-2009 03:33 PM

I'm listening to the new D666. It's better than Cold Steel so far, but doesn't touch the rest of their ****.

Deth 06-15-2009 04:05 PM

eh I liked it a lot, probably my second favorite behind Phoenix Rising
