I've never heard of them.
|
I bet they sound like Foriegner. Sort of bland classic rock.
I heard Journey's "Any Way You Want It" the other day. Now THAT's bland classic rock. |
I've never heard of them.
Same here. |
RNR would love them I guess.
Actually he probably already does love them.
You're **** right. I love most cheesey 70s corperate rock. |
Yea, we know. :p
Same here.
The released an album called Will the Circle be Unbroken and apparently it's one of the best Country Rock albums of the era. |
You're **** right. I love most cheesey 70s corperate rock.
/puts on some Thin Lizzy |
Cheesy 70's is generally better than cheesy 80's, however
|
/puts on some Thin Lizzy
\m/:cool:\m/
Cheesy 70's is generally better than cheesy 80's, however
Agreed. Atleast in the 70s they had a good sense of melody. The 80s was such a powerchord whoring decade. |
Foreigner just sucks. But As Cold As Ice is so **** catchy.
yeah right foreigner rocks |
I'm with this guy who i've never seen before ^
yeah right foreigner rocks
Caps and puctuation would be sweet :thumb: PS- Do I know you? o.O |
Has anyone heard of Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz? It's probably one of the most important albums of the 60's.
|
Caps and puctuation would be sweet
PS- Do I know you? o.O
You need a period at the end of your first sentence. |
You need a period at the end of your first sentence.
I tend not to to use periods at the end of statements because it adds a bitter and sarcastic e-tone to my writing. But just for you I will edit in a :thumb: with the hopes that it is an acceptable form of punctuation |
I see.
Has anyone heard of Ornette Coleman's Free Jazz? It's probably one of the most important albums of the 60's.
Free jazz? *runs* |

That album is (aside from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) heavily on the bluegrass/country side. Lots of acoustic. Maybe even a little banjo. I've got that one and a Dirt Band album on vinyl. They're a really solid country rock band, I like their songs. |
...so I learned how to play Rockin' In The Free World on my new Baritione Ukulele :D

NP: Blue Train - John Coltrane R.I.P. :(
What are you doing to pay your respects? |
Apparently just playing music.
I was never one for celebrating death days. It doesn't matter to me on which day they died, if they're dead and I respect them then I pay my respects to that person any time throughout the year. |
Can you post it possibly? :)
Sorry, I meant they were both vinyl :( |
What are you doing to pay your respects?
I'm digging his grave up and having his decayed body over for dinner.......No, just playing his music. I always play music on my favorite musicians death dates. |

He demonstrated the power of spirituality in Jazz and served as the catalyst for a whole new musical universe. He influenced many Rock musicians during the late 60's. |
I only know a very little, but I do know that he was Phil Lesh's main influence, and he was a main influence to rock music through the Grateful Dead
Don't ignore Phil's Classical influences also. They were certainly also present. Coltrane is really known and praised for his solo ability and songwriting. Both are highly advanced and technically still ahead of the game. |
Don't ignore Phil's Classical influences also. They were certainly also present.
Coltrane is really known and praised for his solo ability and songwriting.
They were present, but it was Coltraine's influence that opened his mind to improvisational music |
