I don't think that's what Andy Warhol did, but I know nothing about art. I just got that from google anyway.

Anyone in here have "DJ Shadow - The Private Press"? Are a lot of the songs on there like Blood on the Motorway?

I think I may put that on my next CD order

jpj 10-21-2005 10:05 PM

Oh boy, Riva is a ModdyMcModerson now

I hope he doesn't leave you guys for his cool new mod friends.

morrissey 10-21-2005 11:00 PM

Sorry but I've every intention of stealing him away and you're just going to have to deal with it.

How come the R&M comm thread actually has decent discussion? I should be able to participate, I listen to the Beatles after all.

Everybody would rep one another, and then rep back in thanks, etc. You gained rep cumulatively with each passing day. :p

But we're better now.

EDIT: Ken lied. Riva has no italics or five-stars. Apparently Jim needs to get on the stick with that.

Kind of amusing that Ken would make that thread when Riva doesn't even have the appropriate rank insignia yet. :p

I think if it wasn't for Ken's unilateral star award and Zerokewl's (childish) neg-repping of me when he was throwing his weight around in here, I'd have somewhere close to 850-900.

I've almost earned my stars the hard way. :(

I have 311, and while it may not be much, it was earned through good posts. So that's cool with me. But we don't want to turn this into another rep thread...

Any other trip hop fans here? I'm diggin' this Massive Attack album.

I was kidding, although the fact that you only have 311 is a disgrace. I'll be keeping an eye out for decent posts from you. :)

I rarely rep people, so it won't be such a waste.

Cain 10-21-2005 11:50 PM

Anyways, I'm not that much into trip-hop, but I just uploaded a crapload of albums that I haven't paid much attention to before (and that I'm surprised I didn't have in a few cases), and I also have a small list of CDs to purchase.

ALBUMS UPLOADED:
Miles Davis: Kind of Blue (had to have it. I'm surprised I didn't before)
John Coltrane: A Love Supreme, Best Of
Swing Kids: The Soundtrack
Queen: A Night at the Opera
John McClaughlin: The Promise
Steve Vai: Real Illusions, Reflections
Allmann Brothers: Eat a Peach
Acoustic Alchemy: Positive Thinking
Bill Frissell: The Willies
Edgar Meyer and Bela Fleck: Uncommon Ritual

ALBUMS TO PURCHASE:
Agalloch: Pale Folklore, The Mantle
Ulver: Blood Inside
The Ozric Tentacles: Spirals in Hyperspace
Paramaecium: Within the Ancient Forest

It would be very much appreciated. :)

[QUOTE=Bartender]Well it's finished now. When I posted that it only had twenty minutes or so left.

I think the first song he did was better than the second, anyway. I've no idea what song it was, but he did it supported by Burt Bacharach and his band.

I'm glad Later.. is back.

Mazeppa 10-22-2005 07:12 AM

Certainly is. At the moment I'm mainly playing 'dry' music, that is to say that it music that is intended to be played as an excercise. So I'm really looking forward to learning some more interesting music.
