I've made a conscious decision against drinking/drug use and all of that.

I thought I would look forward to being able to drink beer and the like when I turn 18, but now that it's only a bit over a month away, I really don't care. My friend asked me the other night if I was going to drink when I go away with him when we finish school. I thought about it for a minute and said no, seeing as I'm the only one of the group who will be able to and I don't really care one way or the other. The only drinking related thing I'm looking forward to is having a beer with my friend on my birthday.

I guess I don't really 'get' drinking.

Yeah. Underage drinking is (in my mind) one of the lamest, most unappealing things I can think of.

I hear someone talking about getting wasted or screwing someone just about everyday.

I couldn't imagine if it was legal for 18 year olds in America to drink. So many do it anyways but if it was legal... sheesh.

Yeah, my school is kind of like that too. A girl in my grade got busted last week for drink driving and had to go to court. Stuff like that just seems f[i]u[/i]cking retarted to me.

A lot of people my age (underage) drink, and a lot of people are idiots about it, but I do it solely for good times with my friends.

On a completly unrelated note, someone reccomend me some good noise bands, please.

Pretty much every high school in the world forever has been like that. Its fu[B]c[/B]king annoying and crappy to find out that thats all people talk about because they can't entertain themselves otherwise though. It kinda makes you wanna kill yourself.

It's nice to get wasted every now and then but I just love the pleasure of a quick cold pint at lunch on a hot day.

The drama is undoubtedly the worst part of high school. I'm really glad my friends aren't like that.

Some kid came up to me yesterday and asked me if I smoked pot, and I was like "Uhh...no" and he said something to the extent of "Oh why not? You look like a total stoner".

When I saw sonic youth they did weird things to pull out some interesting noises from their instruments. One that I recall in particular was rubbing the head of their guitars in circular motions on the ground. It was neat.

Yeah. I love cold beer after playing football as well. Although I'm still underage, but I can get served at bars cuz I look so macho. I usually drink at weekends, but I rarely get wasted, only at big parties and stuff. And tonight I didn't drink at all :)

Where I'm from though, drinking is such a huge part of youth culture. I know lots of people who go out EVERY weekend, and get trashed and look for people to fight with. Some guy got kicked out of my school the first week back for being wasted. Kinda sad.

When I saw them they were rubbing them against the wall and then they threw them on the ground and started kicking them.
