or because the turks invaded estonia at some point and finnish has lots of estonian in it |
ie. copycats
no it's just because they're all agglutinative the turkish equivalent is 'ben' -> 'benim' and a lot of central asian turkic languages have the same thing except men/menim instead |
its pretty common to have words for the first personal pronoun starting with M, because that sound is made with just the lips so you can say it before your teeth develop
|
its pretty common to have words for the first personal pronoun starting with M, because that sound is made with just the lips so you can say it before your teeth develop
this too

the finns were a uralic tribe that originated from central asia, that's why their language is agglutinative. turks never went to finland that's silly. |
the finns were a uralic tribe that originated from central asia, that's why their language is agglutinative. turks never went to finland that's silly.
i never said they did. i said they went to estonia, near russia.
also, the finns have always lived in the far north (if i remember right), and are closely related to the the sami |
you are wrong on both counts. learn 2 histry
|
imma go wiki it brb
|
also by central asia i mean north central asia ie. urals. they are called uralic for that reason.
|
i know i know by the Ural mountains
|
and it's also pretty obvious from their language. agglutinative languages all originate directly or indirectly from the same part of the world. finnish is just markedly different now because of its long period of separation.
