I can't sing and play at the same time yet, but I need to learn.

I've been working on singing and playing for about a month now. I dunno if I just suck, or it takes awhile to get the hang of it. Whatever the case, I'm losing my patience, and am about to throw my Ibanez across the room.

I think I can sing and play well because I've been a vocalist/bassist in a band for a few years. So don't feel bad.

I was just trying. I'm starting with an easy song, The Ramones - I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, and I was doing okay, until the actual lyrics were going inbetween repeats. Plus I was holding my guitar awkard. I just want to learn to at least do that to play it for someone :naughty:

I tried to sing and play along with We Are 138. I just ended up crying.

Yeah I was writing my own stuff but it never sounded right so I asked my dad and he said there's like some thing where for it to sound right there's only certain notes you can place after each other, if that makes sense? :confused:

I can sing and play bass at the same time but only with a really simple bassline like Moon Over Marin or Janie Jones.

I can play bass and sing at the same time, but i need to look at my bass to make sure i'm playing the right thing! If you play a song and know it well enough you should be able to play it and just know if you are playing it right when you are singing! It's not hard for me except for bass lines that are fast, which is mainly what my band play so i shall be able to play fast and sing at the same time :p

I can play bass and sing at the same time as long as the tune isn't too complicated. You get much better with practise, you just need to make sure that both the music and the lyrics come to mind easily

For guitar I can sing and play but not well, the only song I can sing good while playing is the Acoustic version of chalkline. And for lessons I only take them so I can learn theory and scales.
