Badmoon now prefers to drink alone.
ArrestThisMan is now Slug, but he hasn't come here in a while.
Ok, I thought Slug looked suspiciously ATM-ish So when I was in Spain I was wearing my Bob Dylan shirt and some French girl came up to me and asked me where I got it, (at a concert, but I gave her a website) and she proceeded to tell me how lucky I was to live in a country where he was touring. I never really felt lucky until then (only CR story from my trip to Spain) |
Who's ATM? ;)
One of his posts are on this page.
/checks oic That's a cool Spain story. I'd like to go to Spain someday. |

oic That's a cool Spain story. I'd like to go to Spain someday.
It is wicked cool, I want to go back, but since thee were about three and a ahlf terrorist attacks in Europe while I was there, my parents aren't too eager to let me go back |
where I got it
Donde tu' compras la camiseta? Is that how she said it? ;) /that's wrong with translation |
Donde tu' compras la camiseta?
Is that how she said it? ;) /that's wrong with translation
Yeah, something liek that, she asked me in Spainish, but I only picked up camiseta, so I said "huh?" and she asked me in English. By my last day I probably would have been able to manage a conversation Hablas espanol, Badmoon? /tilde and upside down ? deficient |
The Byrds > Yardbirds
IMO Though they shouldn't be compared; they aren't that similar.
I definitely disagree...I find The Byrds to be really boring. I took spanish in school last year. Which is odd because it's Canada. We're all forced to take french, I got to trade french for spanish (this is the first year they ever offered a spanish class).
I met up with a bunch of kids from Philly that are in Barcelona now. One of them was really cool, he was having trouble learning guitar so I recommended the guitar forums on this site. Maybe he'll be around, if anyone comes looking for me try to be nice to them, I'll bitch him out in an e-mail if he's too n00b ish :D
I think it's cool that part of Canada speaks French. You learn so much about your own language that way |
He was SO last week *shakes fist in the manner of an old Italian man*
In other news, I just got a Baritone Ukulele :thumb:
I bought a lap steel made by Feneder in 1968. its huge and in mint. cond. I bought it for $90 and I am gonna put it on ebay. |

You should Bitches Brew is one of my favorite albums. Behind A Love Supreme it's my favorite Jazz album. In A Silent Way is great and was quite revolutionary but it doesn't compare to the druggy solos and dark grooves of Bitches Brew.
NP: In A Silent Way / It's About That Time - Miles Davis |
What's that Calexico album you guys talk about so much?
|
I bought Eric Clapton- Rainbow Concert this afternoon. It's amazing. It's like a long jam session. I know I'm supposed to be saving up money for the possible Cream show, but I can't resist.
And I take Latin. I find it incredibly easy, but everyone else finds it impossible  Welcome back Walrus  |
Probably Convict Pool. And I agree, Bitches Brew is an amazing album.
I also took Latin for my first two years in high school, but then the teacher left and we couldn't get another one. I did pretty well. |
Has anyone heard the album I bought? It has Pete Townsend and Ron Wood. If you don't already know, this took place in 1972, and Eric Clapton had been fighting a heroin addiction and had not performed in public for a few years except at Concert for Bangladesh. Pete Townsend organized this concert to get Clapton away from heroin and back into the music world. It's an amazing concert.

Today I went to the book store with my mom to get a guitar magazine while she got the new Harry Potter book for my brother, and I was looking through the books, and I found Searching for the Sound: My Life with the Grateful Dead by Phil Lesh so I made my mom buy it for my because she was buying a book for my brother.
/bad story , but only story |

Im getting the new harry potter tomorrow - I cant wait :D
I just got it half an hour ago, so no. If you are talking about Harry Potter, I'll probably read it after my brother reads it. |

Im getting the new harry potter tomorrow - I cant wait :D
It is really good. I missed it when I was in Spain, It gives a really good insight into the Beatnik/hippie lifestyle and roots in SF, since Phil Lesh seemed to witness it all (from what I have read sofar) |
