Megadeths lyrics IMO are alot better than 'tallicas.
|
They're both pretty absurd, if you ask me. They're still both fun to sing along to.
|
i like the version of The 4 Horsemen on Live Shít way more than the studio version.
|
I have to say I preffered 'Tallica's version over Megadeth's even though I like Megadeth much more.
I actually agree with you on this. |
I actually agree with you on this.
hehe, that's a first in here. |
Yeh ... In mechanix Mustaine seems to be rushig through it.
|
Mind you, Mustaine is always rushing :)
|
I burst of out laughing when i heard four horsemen, its an identical inferior version of mechanix!
James changed the lyrics. The Mechanix is The Four Horsemen. Except: The Four Horsemen >>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>> The Mechanix. |
James also changed the lyrics to Jump in the Fire..... First the lyrics were about getting laid and high.
|
Your list needs to be something like this
1. The Phantom Lord 2. Disposable Heros 3. Dyers Eve 4. Creeping Death 5. Frayed ends of Sanity 6. Master of Puppets 7. Wherever I may Roam 8. For Whom the Bell Tolls 9. Damage Incorporated.
that would be one hell of an album |

As do I. The original vocals in Four Horsemen are quite annoying. |
Ugh, I don't like mechanix or the four horsemen. It's the worst song on KEA for me.
|
^I felt like that as well but the Four Horsemen and Kill 'Em All as a whole has grown on me.
|
Four Horseman lacks intensity.
|
Four Horsemen is my favorite off of KEA.
|
My mum likes The Four Horsemen, she used to take my copy of KEA and listen to it while I was at school, and she usually listens to Gwen Stefani, and other pop/RnB/dance etc. It's one of my favs from the album.
|
The Four Horsemen is too slow after listenning to Mechanix, still a good song though (I prefer the lyrics from TFH).
P.S. The Metallica demoes (Power Metal, and No Life 'Til Leather), both show Kill 'em All played at faster speeds, by a far better Lead guitarist (I'm doing this on purpose tbh  ). |

Haha that's weird. I couldn't imagine my mum ever doing that. |
Yay for Metallica moms, i should get one of those..
|
Yeah she's cool, she's open minded about the music I listen to and supports me and my music. She likes watching me play along with it too.
|
The Four Horseman isn't really all that good, actually.
I was always a fan of Motorbreath. |
I would have to say my favorite on the album is Hit the Lights.
|
I got my mum into nothing else matters and Fade to Black haha.
No, Motorbreath, Seek & Destroy and Hit the Lights are strong. |
Metal Militia is so underrated :(
|
I favour Whiplash, especially after seeing it live on Live Sh!t Binge and Purge, that versions rules.
|
What are your favorite solos by hammett? and which one would you say is the most technically difficult?
my favourite solo would be the one in RTL |
My favourite is probably battery. Kirks solos are mostly rubbish though, they are too weak and sissy in comparison to the heavy riffs.
|
The one in RTL is fantastic. I love it.
I think Kirk's solos suit metallica, there's nothing weak and sissy about them. |
Metallica use heavy riffs ?
I must have missed that one. |
Metallica use heavy riffs ?
I must have missed that one.
you did. you missed alot, if you missed the heavy riffs:p
My favourite is probably battery. Kirks solos are mostly rubbish though, they are too weak and sissy in comparison to the heavy riffs.
so he doesn't shred. doesn't make the solos sissy or rubbish, IMO. his solos hit all the brilliant notes in my mind when i listen, and it really fits well the riffs underneath. but thats just my opinion.
What are your favorite solos by hammett? and which one would you say is the most technically difficult? my favourite solo would be the one in RTL
i wouldn't say the RTL solo is particularly difficult, its mainly just tapping. i really like Jump In the Fire solo. that's just brilliant. |
It's not mainly just tapping. the first bit is tapping, right before the bent note.
|
alot of the rest is too, throughout the 2 minutes of its glory. just decorated with all the usual tricks. there's still plenty of decent soloing besides tapping, just alot of tapping.
|
 it's not, I play it with no tapping after the start bit.
|
Yay for Metallica moms, i should get one of those..
Heh my mom just got a MP3 player and wanted me to put Master of Puppets on it..i was like...uh okay. |
lol, I'd feel awkward If my mom asked me to do that.
|
lol
 it's not, I play it with no tapping after the start bit.
how? there's plenty of tapping after the first bit. 3:55 seconds in. im not saying its all tapping, theres just alot. |
 it's not, I play it with no tapping after the start bit.
Yeah me too, in the RtL book, that's the only part it has as tapping, and the only bit that sounds like tapping. I was actually going to cover that song soon. |
I think a vid would be nice:)
|
I'd rather record it all in Cubase or something with double tracking, bass (guitar with octave doubler), solos etc, then adding reverb, compression, eq and panning, all that fancy stuff that actually makes it sound good. Also that way, I could have as many takes as I want on the solos cause I'd probably bugger them up first time.
