Lunch 07-15-2005 03:04 PM

I have special edition of TKAA, but I haven't seen all the special features.

And 75 years in prison is pretty harsh.

Jam2Me 07-15-2005 03:08 PM

Yeah I kinda heard about the coke thing, we're not talking ounces of coke, we're talking tons of coke. Probly got a sentence of 75 years and served 25 for good behavior. George Jung comes to mind.

Blow is an awesome movie.

Canadian Guy, you pretty much have it right except you forgot his blues phase.

Ah yes. I saw some old video footage of him during his '50s rockabilly phase, laughed my ass off.

Lunch 07-15-2005 04:01 PM

Has anyone ever heard anything by these bands: Rhinoceros, Crabby Appleton, The Electric Prunes, or the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band?

Badmoon 07-15-2005 04:01 PM
I thinnk his last name was Herring
Herring? Jimmy Herring?

He played guitar with them and now plays for The Dead.

If it wasn't another Herring, perhaps it was Red-Dog.

Lunch 07-15-2005 04:03 PM

Isn't that the one in Almost Famous?

Badmoon 07-15-2005 04:04 PM

Yes

ledpoisoning27 07-15-2005 04:23 PM

This is sad, it looks like another metal bassist will win again. Vote Entwistle.

Glitterati 07-15-2005 04:31 PM

I felt bad for voting Flea, so I ran downstairs, went on my other account, and voted Entwistle.

Illmatic 07-15-2005 04:34 PM

Primus isn't metal...

Rocky Racoon 07-15-2005 04:34 PM

Deffinitely Entwistle

Badmoon 07-15-2005 04:36 PM
I felt bad for voting Flea
Oh you should have. You deserve a severe caning.

Glitterati 07-15-2005 04:39 PM

Yeah, I saw Entwistle after I had voted. I felt so guilty I poured a bucket of scalding water on my head.

No, but I brought that up because there may be some relation, his first name was Scooter.

And Lunch I've heard some Electric Prunes on the Radio and I have a Rhinoceros album on viynl.

Lunch 07-15-2005 04:52 PM

My dad has it too (the Rhinorceros album). I just listened to the samples on Amazon, and those bands sound great. Hopefully I'll be getting some of their CDs on my next order.

I had high hopes for Rhinoceros once I found out they were put together by Paul Rothchild and were supposedly a supergroup.

Yeah Rothchild produced the one I have. It has some great tunes on it.

Are you Livewired? And if so, why the name switch?

Stonefree 07-15-2005 05:50 PM

Well this is a back up account I had along time ago, but I busted it out a couple days ago and I have it on sign my on automatically so I also go to this account without thinking.

Lunch 07-15-2005 05:51 PM

Why not just ask for a merge if you want to use that one?

Broken Arrow 07-15-2005 05:52 PM
Why not just ask for a merge if you want to use that one?
meh, it'll be handy.

Lunch 07-15-2005 05:54 PM

What I did was I just got the post count and join date on this account edited so they are the ones from the lunch998 account, but I still have access to that name. So I still have two accounts.

Glitterati 07-15-2005 09:04 PM

Who was gonna be performing at the Zooma tour?

np: Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever

ATM 07-15-2005 09:07 PM

Bunch of jam bands.

Badmoon 07-15-2005 09:10 PM

and Toots and the Maytals.

ATM 07-15-2005 09:12 PM

I saw them :D It was a great show.

I listened to Blind Melon's s/t on my road trip.

Trey Anastasio and Ben Harper were the headlining acts. Some of the opening acts were G. Love & The Special Sauce, Galactic, Toots & The Maytals, and others I can't remember.

Mmmmmm. Phish.

I was hopefully going to pick up tickets to the Zooma Tour, but it got cancelled before I even had the chance. And I almost got to see Gov't Mule + billions of other awsome bands at a pretty close festival, but I had to do something that weekend. :upset:

Marquee Moon is an album that I'm just getting into. So far, so good.

It hooked onto me so fast. I love it.

Daniel! 07-15-2005 10:17 PM

I have owned Marquee Moon for 2 years, and ever since the first time I listened to it, I loved it.

Glitterati 07-15-2005 11:12 PM

So, I got a live Allman Brothers Band album off the YSI thread somewhere. Since I'm an Allman Brothers n00b, what's one of their best full albums?

Lunch 07-15-2005 11:12 PM

Eat a Peach and Live at the Fillmore.
