Get a Hotmail account and register.

The thread title is "can you sing the intro to The Pot" about about 25 entries from members of the forum. Some of them are REALLY bad, and others are just really funny.

Number 1 was really funny. Number 6 the best I think. 11 was hilarious.

Shadius 05-30-2006 07:00 PM

Haha awesome, I have a hotmail, and it never lets me sign up. :(

I'd take part in the competition if it let me on there.

Darkness 05-30-2006 07:10 PM

Don't you have to be apart of the Tool Army?

Otherside 05-30-2006 07:46 PM

I like number 8 and 6 alot I thinks.

Shadius 05-30-2006 08:20 PM

I quite like the 4th one

SmashingPumpkin 06-04-2006 03:12 AM

Haha, I listened to all of those entries at the Toolshed boards. Some are quite funny, and some are decent. I should give it a try. But then again, maybe not. lol.

Not alot of talk about Tool anymore these days, it seems. Not since the album came out. Can't wait until they are back in the States.

I wonder if that rumored DVD is actually coming out on 6/6/6. I sure hope so.

JamJar 06-04-2006 03:49 AM

It would be cool but I doubt it. Also, I've just realised that I see Tool live in less than two weeks time. That sure has gone quick.

PeEpHoLe_10 06-04-2006 04:32 AM

Lucky bastard.

eug008 06-05-2006 01:47 AM

yes lucky guy

Adam Jones is GOD 06-05-2006 05:39 AM

4 days to go here :)

From reading the Rock Am Ring reviews, they seem to be in the perfect mood as well

JamJar 06-05-2006 11:08 AM

I guess you're seeing them at Download then. I would have loved to have gone to Opeth, Tool, DragonForce and Dredg playing but damn my lack of money. I can't believe thye gig is next Tuesday, it really has gone amazingly quick.

deadohiosky9 06-05-2006 11:32 AM

Has anyone who ordered the Alex Grey autographed copy of 10,000 Days gotten it yet? I ordered it about a month ago and still no sign of it.

Those links are hilarious btw.

Prince of Darkness 06-05-2006 11:57 AM

Duncster 06-05-2006 09:41 PM
I can't believe how amazing the drums are in Undertow.
Geez the production is horrible on that album

Adam Jones is GOD 06-08-2006 04:32 AM

1 more day till I see these guys now :). On the off-chance that anyone else in this thread going to Download hasnt already gone, make sure we pack the front row on the friday, we've earned it

menikmati 06-08-2006 04:41 AM

Some of my friends have left for Download this morning. I REALLY want to see Tool, but just couldn't afford a ticket. Then someone pulls out, and sold their weekend ticket for £80 as they couldn't get rid of it in our close circle of friends!!!

EIGHTY ****ING QUID.

Duman 06-08-2006 04:50 AM

The HMH date finally got confirmed! :)

Can't waitttt *shakes furiously*

Kosmos Tree 06-08-2006 08:06 AM

I've seen the light!

I went to the tool show in berlin yesterday and it was awesome.
What prescision and power - it was unbelievable.
And Maynard said something about coming back this year... woot!
I guess i'll be there

Bands tend to say that.

Otherside 06-08-2006 08:58 AM

And then they don't come back for like 3 years.

Kage 06-08-2006 09:10 AM
And then they don't come back for like 3 years.
Exactly.

randomthought9 06-08-2006 04:00 PM

Especially Tool, they drop an album like every 5 years. I don't mind though, I actually think more bands should do that instead of rushing all the time.

clearvision 06-08-2006 04:38 PM

Have a good time Ben, and you owe me videos. Bee-hatch.

What was the setlist?

Syncratic 06-08-2006 05:52 PM

Alright, we've digested the album. Time for a no-holds-barred review:

'10,000 Days' could've been a lot better.

They had five years. You can tell the weakpoints of the album.

For one, 'Jambi.' Great song, but Maynard's vocals really needed to be mixed in the forefront of that song, and the melody could've worked better in a different variation.

'Rosetta Stoned' is a song that most people don't particularly enjoy. I love it, but a lot of the riffs are a litte too reminiscient of 'Third Eye.' And, once again, the vocals being mixed down into the song hurt this track.

As much as I enjoy it, 'Lipan Conjuring' wasn't necessary. Neither was 'Viginti Tres.' The band could've nixed these tracks and came up with one or more good, actual songs.

Overall, it was a solid album. Riffs really were regurgitated at some points ('Right in Two' and 'Rosetta Stoned' come to mind) and the filler was annoying.
