I could sure go for some dancebeats right now mmhmm!

lol

Lord Abortion 08-07-2007 12:54 PM

Heh heh heh.

They're not the worst thing in the world, but painfully limited. I simply bought a couple of albums for the Ancient Egypt/DM combination. One album was exactly the same as the other, so I gave up pretty quickly.

TojesDolan 08-07-2007 01:00 PM

Yeah, that wore off quickly because it lacked some better experimentation in that area.

Annihilation is the only one you need.

But on top of that, Karl Sanders solo stuff is infinitely bettar.

Moon Flavor 08-07-2007 01:03 PM

!

I've actually been meaning to get this..but then I got high >_>

i am the robots 08-07-2007 01:07 PM

Converge, Most Precious Blood, Fjord, oldschool Avenged Sevenfold, oldschool Killswitch Engage, oldschool Unearth, Botch, Architects, Since By Man, new Underoath, Today Is The Day, Blood Has Been Shed, Nothing Stays Gold.

I have yet to hear these, oldschool avenged and unearth sucks....

For some reason Since By Man sounds really familiar, but I don't remember them...Maybe I've seen them open or something.
almost done donwloading that cartilage it better be good
It's okay so far. The drummer really sucks, which makes it sound kinda stupid at parts.

If Dargon likes this, I don't see why he doesn't like a lot of other "hip-hop" DM bands. This really doesn't sound THAT far off from a lot of bands I enjoy.
I have yet to hear these, oldschool avenged and unearth sucks....
:(

I like Sounding The Seventh Trumpet, Waking The Fallen, and Before The Fall Of Man, and Stings Of Conscience. :(
For some reason Since By Man sounds really familiar, but I don't remember them...Maybe I've seen them open or something.
They're pretty cool, and they have some pretty sweet screamo-ish points too.
:(

Agreed. I personally think Waking the Fallen is their best album to date. City of Evil sucked.

So. Death Metal. I'm wholeheartedly awaiting Ozzfest as I'll get to see Behemoth and Nile. \m/:thumb:

So I've heard!! I'm thrilled. I've wanted to see them for some time now and in a few weeks I will be. FOR FREE. /dies

rattlehead42147 08-07-2007 01:35 PM

behemoth's new album isn't as bad as everyone said on the review site.

tastexmyxscythe 08-07-2007 01:36 PM

People said it was bad? /frowns

Pretty sure nobody said it was bad.

People are saying it's average, repetitive and cheesy. That's because it is. People are saying it's generic. That's because it is.

But it's still enjoyable.

Yeah, I really wanted to see them for the longest time too, since they were one of the first death metal bands I got into, and I was far from disappointed last summer.

jcs, check out vision of disorder as well. and atreyu's demo (you'll be really surprised).
Yeah, I really wanted to see them for the longest time too, since they were one of the first death metal bands I got into, and I was far from disappointed last summer.
That's good to hear. Not that I EVER thought a Behemoth performance would be bad, but you know. :p

Shadows 08-07-2007 01:44 PM

Bah, new Behemoth is great. Not as great as Demigod, but still really good. Warrel Dane killed Inner Sanctum and Nergal's voice was much weaker. =/ Other then that, sweet riffs.

i am the robots 08-07-2007 01:44 PM

I dunno, I've seen some very disappointing performances, Decapitated for example.

Also, tms, cool to see you posting again.

Dargon 08-07-2007 01:45 PM

Behemoth is safe, friendly "extreme metal" intended for the covers of glossy magazines.

I hope you're joking. Go listen to Darkthrone or something for ****'s sake.

i am the robots 08-07-2007 01:46 PM

That's why I loved them so much when I first was getting into death metal, tbh.

I still really like Zos Kia Cultus and everything before it though.

Tyler 08-07-2007 01:47 PM

Nergal's vocals were weaker because he didnt layer them 40 times over. I'd rather him sound like the pussy he is than try to cover it up with production techniques

oddly enough, they're better than the "death metal" you listen to now.

You should have stopped "getting into" death metal I guess.

i am the robots 08-07-2007 01:47 PM

I think he sounds better live, and having three people do vocals at once sounds pretty cool imo. I really like Behemoth's live show.

The Conjuration EP is really good.

Hah. That's a new one.
I do agree though, there was definitely something with the vocals on the new album.

Easy there, did you forget to take some pain medication this morning?
Hah. That's a new one.
That's the filter for "pussy".

RetiredAt21 08-07-2007 01:54 PM

Eh, I just think Behemoth sucks.

tastexmyxscythe 08-07-2007 01:54 PM

Psh. Why?
