what is WPFF
and their genre does not matter once you start caring about genres you start pidgeonholing and that is bad |
WPFF will probably kill me for this question, but what genre are they?
metal and yeah wtf is wpff |
Progressive-Math-Post-Hardcore!
metal
effin metal
Was just checkin' out the Killswitch myspace and I believe Protest will be on tour with them in Canada in Sept alongside with In Flames and Between the Buried and Me.
Going to be a sweet show, now a bit off topic, what's a good CD to start with for BTBAM? |
if you want to get into all of them, just go from The Silent Circus to Alaska to Colors
Just got back from watching Jack Marks and Lost Wages. Really good country/folk act, features Arif on stand-up. Was a very good set, fluid for a band who hasnt been together long. Jadae Kelly made an appearance, too, sang some harmonies on a track.

Did Luke and Tim play the acoustic codas on Kezia? I was listening to the album again in the car recently and what really struck me was how well they transitioned in style (if they transitioned at all) from what sounds good on an electric guitar to what sounds pretty on an acoustic.

Marco did the acoustics on Kezia. I don't think he wrote them, though. |
I'm going to guess that the concept for the next album is going to have something to do with Greek mythology. Something tells me that they didn't release a three-shirt suite with stylized pictures of Greek gods just because it looks cool.
nah man it's definitely going to be about ancient mesopotamia this is just a trick
It's going to be about Thomas Edison.
its going to be about terry fox
or Michael J. Fox.
Do you want me to just ask if they have anything in mind?

Please :) |
AWESOME! i thought btbam didnt like protest enough to tour with them again...will be sweet if they go to ATL though
The reasons for them not touring together were pretty juvenile and my understanding is that it was a bunch of wires getting crossed. Are they actually scheduled to tour together? I haven't seen or heard anything. I know they're doing a one-off festival with the Roots and some others in August, and then Europe, but I haven't heard anything else.
Yes they're touring through Canada. Those two and In Flames and another decent band I remember.
It's In Flames and Killswitch Engage co-headlining, with BTBAM and Protest opening.
I wonder who plays longer, Protest or BTBAM... It's a Canadian tour, so I'm hoping it's Protest. I love BTBAM but there's something shitty about going to a huge show and seeing your favourite band first. |
It just makes you a lot more awesome! I wish that tour came over here, would love to see it.
Haha, yeah, I'm definitely gonna go. And it looks like BTBAM will be opening the show, yay.
that sucks! btbam will have a reletivley short set since they are up first, they should be the ones headlining :(
as for protest i've seen them many times and i can't wait to see them again! |
I haven't seen Protest in forever. It's weird because I used to see them more or less bi-weekly. I've seen them over 40 times but haven't seen them in probably a year.
we no cocaine we no.

I think lukes beard is better live

I only started going to the shows a bit before Kezia came out, so I'm in, like, the teens or something. Last time I saw them was that Christmas show at the shitty Sound Academy. ...Goddamn everything - they played a secret show on Saturday in Toronto! With.. ugh... Stereos. Got this info too late, from twitter. Rody's account - http://twitter.com/jrodywalker Mark Spicoluk's account - http://twitter.com/MARKSPICOLUK Underground Ops' account - http://twitter.com/undergroundops Apparently Closet Monster are reuniting for Wakestock... Heh. |

Haha. Obviously, Stereos are one of the worst bands ever - I'm still bummed I missed a $5 Protest show, though. |
