Out of the Silent Planet is by far my favourite song from BNW... i don't think they play it live coz Nicko can't repeat the amazing speed of the triplets with one foot he achieved on the album... I imagine doing those triplets night after night for months on end would nigh-on destroy the muscles in your right foot. this is pure speculation, mind you, based on no fact what soever.

Shady Ultima 10-31-2004 05:42 PM

Phantom's good, I like Remember Tomorrow best off the ST though.

Riva 10-31-2004 09:31 PM

I prefer Phantom the best.

They play it live on the Visions of the Beast DVD. It's faster as well.

Grey Incision 11-01-2004 12:18 AM

hmm, i've been requested to play the trooper for another band, and i haven't actually heard the song (only got 4 iron maiden albums) is it difficult? (guitar)

Not really. Are you lead or rhythm? The solo is unique.

The guitar for The troopper is cool. I play bass and sometimes it sucks with iron maiden because he wont go mad like he used to take run to the hills for example. At the end he just played whatever came to him and it was cool.

They didn't actually, it's just a "montage" (I like that word) of loads of other recordings on the BNW tour...

GurS 11-01-2004 02:34 PM

yeh. As those who have Rock In Rio know, Out Of The Silent Plant was not on the BNW tour tracklist. so they never played it live.

Arucard 11-01-2004 02:40 PM

i cant wait till they anounce uk tour dates
if they play murders in the rue morgue and revaltions i will love them forever

Arucard 11-01-2004 02:44 PM

there websites running so slow man
they just revamped it so that might be it but it might be the whole 'tour' traffic i bet loads of people are flooding them with requests and stuff

ashman 11-01-2004 03:28 PM

I dont think they will, cause that is not the sort of festival that they play.

Donington is more of a concentration of bands, i.e. there are not to many bands, but there are loads of bands at Reading

I just cant see Maiden playing Reading, but i can see them playing Donington. :thumb:

ashman 11-03-2004 02:13 PM

Early years are awesome, best bit that I have seen is the Ruskin Arms gig, it's so cool...
