okay since i dont feel like looking through pages and pages of posts so to the guy who was asking how to get that super fuzzy tone the guy from reagan youth gets on his i do it like this:
take a bass amp and a distortion pedal, and run you guitar through it. crank the tone and distortion on the pedal and then on your amp crank the midrange and treble all the way and turn bass down to zero. use your neckup and "BAM!" reagan youth just like that! |
Does anyone here put graphics on their shoes?

I took some duct tape a while ago and just done this, didn't take long. |
About a year ago, I used red and black duct tape to cover my bass. It was like a plaid pattern.
|
I did this: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/6338/guitarpattern2ym.jpg to my guitar when I first got it.
|
That's cool. How did you do that, is it paint? That's pretty much what my bass looked like and then i cut up thin strips of tape to put in between the thick strips to make it look more like plaid. It took a couple hours to do.
|
I used these label stickers I had in my drawer.

is spray paint ok for electric basses?
|
is spray paint ok for electric basses?
Yeah, auto paint works well if you sand the original finish and spray lots of light coats. I wouldn't reccomend refinishing a really valuable bass, but if it's a cheapo or something it will turn out good. |

I finally decided to make my own patches, they're not great but good enough for my first diy patches. I messed up the first one. I have to learn how to make stencils better.

the second try looks really good (although the first isn't bad either)

Is the "kira" in your user title refers to Kira Rosselar, the Black Flag bassist? |

The Pennywise logo would be fun to do |

yeah |
i dont know if this has been mentioned yet, but to keep silk screened patches from fraying leave a bit of extra fabric when you're cutting it and once you're done the patch fold the edges over while sewing. Ive done this with all my patches and none of them are fraying
|
The classic bars?
I was thinking of doing that, even though I'm not a huge fan of their's. It would just be so easy to do.
|
The classic bars?
