Alright, will listen to Biomechanical tomorrow :)

On another point, according to Metal Hammer, Jeff Loomis has written a solo cacophony like (=shred/speed) album :D
hmmm i dunno what u mean but ok....anyway if you listen to bio there vocals arent very \understandable but friggen awsome and old skool none the less.

Lookout924Gilman 09-25-2005 05:06 PM

[Rhapsody is simply awesome. All of their albums are great.]
They're my favourite Power Metal Band of all time..also Luca Turilli's kinda solo project is really good too.

Man, I still havent met anyone who doesn't recognizing his ability!

Metallion#666 09-25-2005 05:15 PM

wow. I was depressed for 3 weeks because i couldnt go to Gigantour. Megadeth is my favorite band, followed closely by nevermore.

Riva 09-25-2005 05:16 PM

I'm really not that fussed on Rhapsody. I mean, they're great and everything, but there are far better examples of Power Metal I feel. I'm not sure, but I guess I could rate Blind Guardian's symphonic work over Rhapsody's.

I agree w/you. I really like BG. Does anyone know about Symphony X?

And I my entire day was ruined after I read how two of my favourite bands (nevermore, symphony x) were treated in that festival :(

Blind guardian were the first Power metal band i ever heard, but their almost trash-in their earlier albums. I love um' they own.

Blind Guardian was trash?!?! Just kidding, I know what you meant. Yeah, they were pretty much speed metal in the early albums, but naturally I like the power stuff much better. Can't wait for the new album.

Yeah, that was depressing.

Oh yeah...looking for some info on their new drummer, I ran into this:

I liked the Speed Metal better, but then NIME grew on me. :)

Ugh, I hate people who intentionally misspell thrash.

Iron Bars 09-26-2005 04:43 AM

I tried listening to some old BG but it didn't have anything for me.

You do know thrash is a hard word to spell.

Slapping Penguin 09-26-2005 05:16 AM

Do you know what song I can't get enough of. Siberian Winter Running Wild.

Riva 09-26-2005 05:31 AM

Hehe, what a Galloglass binge I have been on. I wish I could sing like Carsten. Also, Heavenseeker is coming out end of October!!! \m/

Arucard 09-26-2005 01:01 PM

I want new Angra :( Temple Of Shadows was so good, i need more.

Shattered_Future 09-26-2005 01:04 PM

Symphony X should've got one of the bigger time slots...

Their set was WAAAY too short.

Arucard 09-26-2005 01:05 PM

I wish Gigantour came to England :(

I listened to the whole of the The Odysey Pts 1/2/3 on the way to school today.

'Triumphant, champion of Ithica!'

Iron Man 09-26-2005 01:09 PM

I've done that before :p

It was in my friend's car, and since he's a big fan and the one who showed me the band, he had it up pretty loud on his speakers. Can't help singing along at that part at the end, hehe

Arucard 09-26-2005 01:14 PM

Yeh, and the 'Seems like forever my eyes have been denied' bit.

Iron Man 09-26-2005 01:19 PM
Yeh, and the 'Seems like forever my eyes have been denied' bit.
It's the perfect ending. Ties the ending back to the beginning somewhat, and just plain-out sounds great.

Shattered_Future 09-26-2005 01:20 PM

Is The Odyssey (the album) any good? I have like 5 tracks from it, but only like a few...Inferno and Wicked.

I love singing (and attempting to play) along with Inferno. It's SOOO awesome...especially as their set opener for Gigantour. :D

Arucard 09-26-2005 01:22 PM

The Odyssey kicks most/all Prog metal albums out of the water.
