Ok...Next purchases.

Here's whats goin down...

I just realized my 14" Wuhan is cracked...its a shame i know...but i'm not really worried, i was gonna replace it anyway. Though i do think it may have been the cymbal because it cracked on a much thinner part of the cymbal...

Oh well...

So...Should I:

A) Replace the china now with a 17" K Custom Dark China?
B) Go on with my previous plans of getting a 17" Vault Crash and 18" HHX Power Crash? (i would have to wait for my next paycheck)
for me its saturday...

oh come ON! someone answer my arbiter question!
The BEST tuning system in the world.

Their flats are trash though, if they had that tuning system on a set of drums... Ohh my would it be killer. It would destroy everything on the market 100%. No metal on the shell, one tuning lug for the top and bottom = perfect uninhibted tone.

styler 02-18-2006 11:18 PM

only to experienced drummers, arbiter would put tama pearl, yamaha, etc out of commission, but CB would still be the highest ranking beginner set. as newer drummers wouldnt know the difference, lol.

so should i go for it? Cuz i mean, how often do you see arbiters in mind for 300? What would it sound like? How would it compare to a black panther?

Double Bass Jim 02-18-2006 11:30 PM

Get it man

You won't see those around much at all, it's not going to sound like any other drum. The lack of metal on the shell really opens the tone up, and the tuning system allows for the best tensioning. Everytime I think about them it pisses me off, that could have changed drums in a HUGE way.

styler 02-18-2006 11:37 PM

jim you must be mighty pissed, weve been talking about them for like an hour now.

Panopticon 02-18-2006 11:39 PM

if i can convince my parents to let me order it...i think i'll go for it...

Maybe even just for the sake of having an arbiter...they could be worth a lot one day...

PremierManiac 02-18-2006 11:48 PM

I hate how my parents can control what I can and can't buy. You'd think that if it's my money, I should be able to spend it however I want, but I can't. Not that I actually have money or anything.

It would be worth some cash later on, I can garuntee you that.

Plus you'll have a unique tone unlike anyone else.

Futuro 02-18-2006 11:55 PM
Plus you'll have a unique tone unlike anyone else.
You also said that when I filled my drums with mud

I would buy it, Looks intresting.

Double Bass Jim 02-19-2006 12:01 AM

Panopticon 02-19-2006 01:21 AM

Motleyguy 02-19-2006 01:45 AM

not much bro, just enjoyed Saving Private Ryan, which I saw when I was 8...and saw for the 2nd time tonight, good movie.

derryk 02-19-2006 01:51 AM

I saw the fog tonight. I didn't especially like it.

Why are commercials always louder then the show you're watching?

Motleyguy 02-19-2006 02:01 AM

I dunno, but it pisses me off to no end.

Tim 02-19-2006 02:05 AM

some guy got stabbed at our mall today. Gang related...gang related also means i dont care. 2nd gang related incident in 06. happy new year. First one was a shooting 2nd was a stabbing. Gangs should all rally up one day and fight to the death.

Motleyguy 02-19-2006 02:10 AM

wow, dude, we have like 1 gang related shooting or stabbing almost every week here.

/is listening to the police, and has been all day...damn copeland thread.

well this is at the mall. The shooting and stabbing both happened in the mall. Im not counting the countless drivebys we have. Good thing i dont live in a bad neighborhood. All you hear on the news around here is "gang related shooting", gang related stabbing", and city counsil meetings to stop "taggers" from vandalizing. Makes our city look so ****ty.

Motleyguy 02-19-2006 02:16 AM

most reasonable sized cities these days are like that I guess, ours is the same way.

Tim 02-19-2006 02:17 AM

yeah. it just irritates me that all the stuff on the news every single day is gang related deaths and crap like that. I just wish they would all kill eachother already. or something. Its not worth dying over something stupid like a gang.

Motleyguy 02-19-2006 02:24 AM

I agree, that **** is lame dude. Some guys get coked up and decide to shoot some kid because he's wearing a black hoodie, or some lame **** like that. It's pathetic, and even more so that it's gotten so out of control.

Tim 02-19-2006 02:28 AM

exactly. something stupid like wearing a red or blue bandana or color shirt. its so ridiculous. SO stupid that they have to use guns and knives to fight too. I mean someone will have more of a chance against a knife than a gun but geez are they really that pussy that they have to use weapons? I mean really...go out to a field and duke it out somewhere man.

The original was great, a classic john carpenter movie

I hate when they re-make films, especially classics like that.

I remember watching the original when I was about 8-years old. Scared the piss out of me. :(
