The Mint Chicks are a good band, but best pop band on the planet? Not Likely.
And why not? They do everything the way it's meant to be done, plus a ton more. I know, you don't - FACT.

Actually really enjoying the new album by The Cribs. I've always avoided them because of their awful name, but this new album is tight.

Lol exactly like me then. What do they sound like?

AlienEater 07-27-2007 09:43 AM

wait is that the band that lee ronaldo guested or am i making that up entirely

Kyle 07-27-2007 10:00 AM

They're not brilliant or anything, but it's some solid indie-rock. I was curious because they're on Wichita and that's normally a pretty decent label.

Yeah Lee Ronaldo has a guest spot on the new album, I believe.

Zebra 07-27-2007 10:02 AM

Frank Zappa - Freak Out!

4/5

Sweet, I'll check them out.

AKid2 07-27-2007 11:06 AM

i've been playin atdi's in/casino/out. i think its my favorite. I like the live sound.

well actually i've been playing all of their albums.

I think its too bad that they didn't put much effort into acrobatic tenement. Some of their best songs were on that album, but I wish they'd have better recorded them a bit better.

acrobatic tenement w/ roc production would have been amazing. although that might be sort of an oxymoron kind of thing.

How'd you do that? I didn't think it was on guitar hero.

Thanks 07-27-2007 12:03 PM

My friend has Guitar Hero 80's Edition. I played some Dead Kennedys, too.

margin0walker 07-27-2007 01:10 PM

nice.
i tried to play institutionalized on guitar hero but the shredding gets me every time.

i know what you're saying, but i kinda like the rawer sound of acrobatic tenement. the songs are so simple yet good that any upgrade to the production might expose their flaws. the only thing i would fix is the bass tone (or just replace Omar with Paul sooner and put him back on guitar where he belongs)

Zmev 07-27-2007 02:33 PM

Half the songs on 80's are lame, but then there are Dead Kennedyd and X.
