2. lol @ people whining about new BURZUM not being so amazing groundbreaking genre defining classic like his previous works from nearly 20 years ago and being locked up for years far removed from black metal scene and music. its burzum sounds like burzum created by buddy in burzum, what the do you expect? burzum. he also mentioned ages ago he was gon na do new album in the same OLD style of his previous works which everyone was all worked up about, not ambient bs, now u get said album in the same old style as burzum and complain about it not being revolutionary and groundbreaking?he defined bm like 2 decades ago so stop ur whining like little girls that ur hero varg broke his promisies and your heart
This ^^^^^

also with ash pool, tomb was and continues to be a solid BM album. Black bondage from the north was also pretty good, and 3 or 4 tracks form world turns on its hinge were pretty good as well.

what what? Genital Tomb is the only Ash Pool release I've heard and it's enjoyable, but I've never praised it all that much at all.

witchxrapist 02-22-2010 09:47 PM

I just kicked my drummer out, or he quit, or something. I don't know.

He's not with us anymore.

Any drummers in NorCal that want to play some Black Metal?

Meatplow 02-24-2010 03:24 AM

sucks

listening to Brenoritvrezorkre's Ervoelbtre

RetiredAt21 02-24-2010 09:32 AM

Actually you're listening to Vasagračbe éakr vatrč brenoritvrezorkre.

masscows 02-25-2010 06:53 PM

Has anyone else noticed that the beginning of La Mesniee Mordrissoire by Peste Noire and the end of A Legacy of Unrest by Rome use the same vocal melody? What's it from?

Meatplow 02-26-2010 10:33 PM
Actually you're listening to Vasagračbe éakr vatrč brenoritvrezorkre.
what what what

Blasphemophagher's ...for Chaos, Obscurity and Desolation... is pretty good, I don't know if it's more death/thrash metal than black though.

Morumbar 02-27-2010 07:16 AM

Just got Walknut's Graveforests And Their Shadows in the mail.
Any of you ever wonder why the vocals sound so lo-fi? They were recorded outside, in the forest. ^^

the2stranger 02-27-2010 08:07 AM

That's pretty grim.
Forest recording ftw.

When I was still playing in a band we recorded our rehearsal with a phone mic.

Morumbar 02-27-2010 08:24 AM

Hah, nice.

Sometimes you come across these really lo-fi black metal recordings and just wonder how the hell they managed to get such a shitty sound. I mean if I put my mp3 player next to my amp and press record, it'll sound better than the whole of Orrery's Nine Odes To Oblivion.
