This is good, but the vocals are a bit uninspired sounding. It'll probably grow on me.
Heil.
yeah i like it a lot. i need to get Funeral Diner... Is Dead |
vocals are among my favorite things about them
but they do gotta grow on you. ive been listening to them since their first album came out and i wasnt too into the vox back then, but they came around on me. blew my mind on this album. theres screaming later on in the album. |
Oh wow, the vocals build into something quite enjoyable in the latter half of the second song.
The raspier kind of power-metally singing = quite enjoyable. |
girt by piss and for the commonwealth and the queen are vocal tour de forces
|
Oh, Brother has a sick reggaeton beat.
Yeah they are both really good, but where's the old west feel in them
did you check out the ones i rec'd? |
Yeah I checked out Across Tundras - Herds of the Fathomless Valleys. That one's pretty good and close to what I had in mind. Still not as melancholic/dark as Human Bell tho. Bit more sludgy. I haven't checked out Brightblack Morning Light.
|
Foetus - Thaw
|
get dark songs of the prairie or western sky ride for across tundras, both albums are a bit better than the one you got. and dont forget to get cobalt's latest too.
the brightblack isnt metal or rock, its more ambient, but its got the old west feeling to it |
Ambient is good I'll check it out asap. Got so many new albums lined up now. I thought Cobalt was a BM band(Never listened to them)?
|
Foetus - Thaw
raw |
thats the easiest thing to call them i guess. their newest album, gin, has a very decidedly old west theme and feel to it though. theres even like a slave work-song on it haha.
and yeah the 2 across tundras albums i just listed are quite a bit better, probably should have told you that in the first place |
Cobalt goes on the list then.
