I'm glad to say I never bought into the Lykathea Aflame hype. They'd be decent without the keys (which suck) and the drummer (who also sucks). I still don't mind Elvenfris but it's nothing to phone home about!

Z'at a band or album? What's it like?

I've been spinning a lot of Agony lately, great 90s Quebec band. They're sound is kind of a mix of early Suffocation and Gorguts. It's awesome, even if the vocalist does occasionally do this irritating proto-pig squeal.

It's a Sororicide album and it rules, ****ing awesome old school death metal, **** is grim and bleak. Dryden rec'd them to me, best rec in awhile, ****ing love this album.

yeah, same band. vocals are hit or miss (usually it's just really dry "roaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoah rahhhh" stuff) but the album is good, if a little (a lot) too long.
