magicbus 07-14-2005 02:39 PM
We seriously need to all meet at the concert. Start saving your money now.
I'll have grad party money, but I was going to get an acoustic guitar :upset:

And then there's that whole paying for college thing...

ATM 07-14-2005 02:40 PM

Buy a guitar from a thrift store. Much cheaper.

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:41 PM

Yea seriously, you can't see a Cream concert at a thrift store. Get your priorities straight.

ATM 07-14-2005 02:41 PM

God, I really hope it goes down. Seeing Clapton live and in the flesh :D

BludgeonySteve 07-14-2005 02:42 PM

I thought they only did a few concerts, no tour or anything.

Illmatic 07-14-2005 02:43 PM

Yeah, I saw you once.

Too bad Floyd won't be reuniting, I'd rather see them than Cream.

But Gilmour's supposedly touring in 2006. That should be awesome.

magicbus 07-14-2005 02:49 PM
But Gilmour's supposedly touring in 2006. That should be awesome.
You're going to make my head explode. I can't handle all this.

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:50 PM

I just told my mom, and she said as soon as I found out if it was confirmed we had to buy tickets.

Stonefree 07-14-2005 02:51 PM
ya too bad we didn't know eachother back then. :( this year though?
Yeah, I think after that concert was one of my first posts in the CR thread, and the one that made me come back enough to be a regular. The rest is history.

RockAndRoll 07-14-2005 02:51 PM
My mom said that as soon as it was confirmed we are buying tickets.
Man this has made me so giddy.

Slug do you have AIM or MSN or anything?
I just told my mom, and she said as soon as I found out if it was confirmed we had to buy tickets.
One little problem. My mom said she wanted to go as well.

Hey, going with her beats the crap out of not going at all.

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:54 PM

No, I meant that post in a good way. She's as enthusiastic as I am, which is cool because then I wouldn't mind going with her and my dad.

Stonefree 07-14-2005 02:56 PM
No, I meant that post in a good way. She's as enthusiastic as I am, which is cool because then I wouldn't mind going with her and my dad.
And more oney would come out of them for tickets.
No, I meant that post in a good way. She's as enthusiastic as I am, which is cool because then I wouldn't mind going with her and my dad.
Going with my dad would be cool. But my mom has a tendency to act embarrassing. But I really don't mind her going, I wouldn't care what she did if she took me to see Cream. And it was good that she was enthusiastic about it.

Lunch 07-14-2005 02:58 PM

It wouldn't be very embarassing, almost all the people there would be our parents' age.

brettberry 07-14-2005 02:58 PM
GnR played it a half step lower, but it sounds good in any key. Throw a capo on the 4th or 5th fret and it sounds good to.
You are talking about half a step lower than standard. they do play it as that but i meant half a step lower than that.

Stop interupting much more important discussion. GnR is not important at all right now.

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:02 PM

GnR isn't important at all, period.
It wouldn't be very embarassing, almost all the people there would be our parents' age.
Which means that there won't be many people to bum weed off of :(

Lunch 07-14-2005 03:03 PM

I can come up with my own weed, and I'm sure there will be some burned out hippies there too.

When I went to Van Halen, there was this couple (late 40's maybe) next to me smoking weed.

But I wouldn't be able to smoke in front of my parent's anyways. So I'll go alone. Unless my dad wants to come, but he probably won't.

robo2448 07-14-2005 03:06 PM

Older people smoke weed too. My friend got a lot of weed for free from these old hippies at a Phish concert. But everyone there was smoking weed.

Edit- I'd also like to see Cream completely clean. I'd like to just enjoy the music, without distractions like weed. It'll probably be the only chance I'll ever get to see them.

QUEEN doesn't matter right now.

RockAndRoll 07-14-2005 03:10 PM

My friends parents smoke weed.

My mother started me on weed when I was 13. That was 15 years ago and we still smoke together. Every concert I have ever been to she tags along and brings her stash.

Illmatic 07-14-2005 03:20 PM

ATTN brettberry: No one likes you.

jpj 07-14-2005 03:48 PM

I'm prepared to spend the money I was saving up for a bass to see Cream. I just thought I'd tell you.
I'm prepared to spend the money I was saving up for a bass to see Cream. I just thought I'd tell you.
I think most of us are prepared to spend any money previously saved for anything else to see Cream.
