I haven't eaten meat since November. I thought it was too hypocritical to hate hunting and still eat meat, so I just stopped completely.

Hunting for food and necessity is different than hunting because you enjoy killing animals and happen to eat them after.

I agree it's wrong if you don't eat the animal you kill but if you do I don't see how it's unethical, killing animals is how meat is acquired in the first place(obviously).

I take issue with the sport.

If you go out and kill a bunch of Moose for the sport, the fact that you eat them later is irrelevant to me.

Ehh, I guess then it's a difference of ethics or whatever. But the way I see it, it's a good healthy activity that is a good place to spend time with my dad/grandpa/cousins and if we happen to get an animal out of it, great.

Why? It's basically just hiking with the hopes of finding an animal to shoot. Do you consider hiking a good activity? Why should it be different as far as "bonding" concerned because we might be there for hunting.
