i dont think theres one far away best song on mutations, i think all of them are really good . lazy flies and nobodys fault but my own being my faves but only by a bit

well its not as good as those classics, besides mutations, but its still pretty great

did you know that mellow gold is actually his best album and not odelay? strange but true. allow mellow gold can be fantastic strike the mood

the only other album of his i have was one foot in the grave. it's average but strangely keepable. guero was kind of offputting as was midnite vultures. sea change tried to reach high but just couldn't go up that far. and... i've wanted to look into mutations for quite some time but never really put it in a serious outlook.

I think Mutations is his best album followed by Odelay. not a big fan of Mellow Gold

yah i only have modern guilt midnite vultures and mutations and I dig Mutations the most, Nobody's Fault But My Own is so beautiful

I listen to Mutations the most, Odelay's great too and Sea Change has like 3 good songs. I gotta hear Modern Guilt, I'll try to find a link.

is Sea Change at least consistent? Beck's albums bug me because they're always 4 great songs and then just a load of mediocre crap.

sea change was the most consistent, at least in its flow. one foot was consistent too.

I say that Modern Guilt is the most consistent because it has no standout songs but there are also no bad songs, just a bunch of solid stuff.

from guero to modern guilt, in that 3 album span he has achieved the "10 years later from odelay" sound

and the production on modern guilt sounds typically and consistently bland. just the way dangermouse likes it.

I think Modern Guilt is pretty good, definitely not his best though
