I don't think I've used that smiley ever. I don't want to either.

kurrpt 05-17-2006 12:42 PM
I only use the  smiley when someone misses sarcasm.
so, ultimately, its exactly what I was talking about

Futuro 05-17-2006 12:42 PM

Danny Carey was in this new Modern Drummer. He said the album was recorded in a helium filled room to get a fuller sound

kurrpt 05-17-2006 12:43 PM

that is pretty funny

Prince of Darkness 05-17-2006 12:44 PM
so, ultimately, its exactly what I was talking about
Yes, but I don't feel better than the guy that missed the sarcasm.

kurrpt 05-17-2006 12:47 PM

in a sense, you'd almost have to. Im not saying you feel you are "better in life", but if they are missing something that you feel the need to point out, and add the "", its definitely questionable

Prince of Darkness 05-17-2006 12:52 PM

bye UEFA time!

Futuro 05-17-2006 01:03 PM

Also I just read he may have made a tree and a bird extinct to get the wood for his custom made drums  aniba ayahuasca rosaeodora wood (spelling?)

EDIT: Probably harder to find (And pronounce) than maple :-/

kurrpt 05-17-2006 02:18 PM

i think your location is busting on me futuro :-/

I have some Bubinga Sonor drums, they didn't make any tree's or bird's extinct. All of us Sonor drummers choppin down the tree's and frying up the rare and endangered Kanker Bird, with said wood, is what made the bird and tree's extinct.

Nothin more fun than a equator party.

One Groovin Clown 05-17-2006 05:47 PM

i've come to the conclusion that Tool is my working music. Everytime I have some homework, or i am just working on a project, i love to listen to Tool. It seems that i think more clearly and i'm more relaxed while doing so.

Also, Vicarious has become my new Driving song.

So I saw Tool last night, and they were pretty incredible. They were everything I had hoped for and more. And it was definetly worth the $100+ it cost me in total (plus $35 for a shirt), and the hour and a half drive.

Lost Keys
Rosetta Stoned
Stinkfist
Forty Six & 2
Jambi
Schism
Right in Two
Sober
Lateralus
Vicarious
Ænema

Right In Two and Lateralus were the definite highlights for me. And I'm going to have to say, that Maynard may be a huge cock. After they were done the rest of the band went to the edge of the stage and shook hands and tossed stuff out to the fans, but Maynard just walked into the back. And Danny Carey was wearing a Kobe Bryant jersey, which made me laugh.

ThunderBass 05-18-2006 08:12 AM

man, thats not a bad set list... add 'Hooker with a Penis' and it would be perfect... and yeah maynard is known to have an ego the size of mars...

kurrpt 05-18-2006 08:15 AM

eh, fuk it. They didnt play my "the patient"

i wanna see this shirt of yours. Could you post a pic?

ThePatient 05-18-2006 08:30 AM

They didn't unfortunately, but I was pretty happy with getting Right In Two, it made me like the song a lot more.

Front of shirt: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/OmgJeffParsons/0518061010.jpg

Back of shirt: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/OmgJeffParsons/0518061009a.jpg

kurrpt 05-18-2006 08:36 AM

so you didnt get to sit anyway

that shirt is fukking BAD ARSE. Im SOOOOooo getting one :thumb:

ThePatient 05-18-2006 08:40 AM

Hahaha, nope. I did sit on the back of my seat for a while, which I know pissed off the girl behind me because she kept poking at me. But I had to sit for a while because I worked all day before I went and my back was dying. And the guy next to me was a complete douche bag and wouldn't shutup so the few extra inches of being behind him made him forget I was there.

kurrpt 05-18-2006 08:42 AM

you mean he was talking to you the whole time?

about that girl, wtf was her deal?

edit : at least you cant call me a liar :thumb:

ThePatient 05-18-2006 08:45 AM

That, singing horribly, and swinging his head at me. I'm 99% sure he only liked Tool because they have a song called "The Pot".

And I guess the girl thought I was invading her space.

kurrpt 05-18-2006 08:51 AM

if some bitch was poking me, id be absolutely irate, and have to take it the extra step. You seem passive, so maybe thats the way to go

ThePatient 05-18-2006 08:56 AM

I was seeing Tool. And after the weekend I had, that's all that I really cared about.

kurrpt 05-18-2006 09:12 AM

fair enough man :thumb:

Futuro 05-18-2006 09:54 AM

I doubt I will be seeing Tool again :( Too much money.

kurrpt 05-18-2006 09:55 AM

nah, they'll come back around, you'll see em :thumb:

i want to see them at least twice, if not 3 times

taylormemer 05-18-2006 10:21 AM

*taylormemer lingers in the shadows and thinks to himself - "I want to see tool live..."

:(

ThePatient 05-18-2006 11:04 AM

Total, including gas from here to Philly ($40), tolls ($11), my ticket ($66), my shirt ($35), and a dinner at the "Old Country Buffet" ($11), it cost me about $163. But I'll be getting $20 for gas and $5 for the toll my friend sometime, plus he still hasn't paid for his ticket I got him yet. And it was worth every cent.

I'll definetly be seeing them anytime they come to MD, PA, DE, or VA again.

kurrpt 05-18-2006 11:05 AM

wtf, he didnt pay you yet?

ThePatient 05-18-2006 11:12 AM

No he hasn't. But he lives in the next county so I only him when we go to concerts. And the guy doesn't drive (he's 20), which means I always have to. Sooooo, I had to make a 30 mile trip south to get him, then double back north to Philly. But he paid for my NIN ticket in November, and paid for everything then, so I can't complain. But he is going to pay me, so I'm ok with it. But driving 200 miles in my pickup costs an arm and a leg...
