Ah you mean all the stuff that was being talked about the first time I post in here? Ok.

I just discovered Guitar Pro! What have I been waiting for? I just got really good at the whole Creeping Death solo because of it (to an extent).

JacksonDude675 04-25-2006 06:29 PM

thats not that hard. oh wait no i was thinking of trapped under ice.

Soul_Under_Arrest 04-25-2006 06:48 PM

James playing his Jaskson that he never endorsed (though Jackson wanted him to)

Shady Ultima 04-25-2006 09:12 PM

OMG CLIFF IS IN THAT
*bows down to Cliff*

I wanted to get a custom model of Cliff Burton today. For a 10" model, it woulda cost me 1100 :|

ghettoeddo 04-25-2006 11:57 PM

a model...? like...a toy?

the reverb in james' vocals in this performance suck. good otherwise.

Jev 04-26-2006 01:05 AM

That Jackson is sexy. If James didn't want it why couldn't I have it?

1100 for a Cliff model is a bit extortionate.

no way would i ever pay that, you can buy awsome gear for that price

Chu 04-26-2006 02:32 AM

Heh, my Dad doesn't care what I listen to, infact he listens to it the majority of the time too.. My Mum on the other hand..

Anyway, Joe you wanna do a Lead/Rhythm Creeping Death collabration? (You on Lead, me on Rhythm  ), I'd much rather do Battery if anyone's interested, but I don't really care what song, as long as I get to play :D

Jev 04-26-2006 03:49 AM

And you can buy the Metallica figures at least 11 times with it.

Ya, it's a crazy price. It's only a toy ya. And I don't want the rest of Metallica lol. I really only admire Cliff... there isn't a cliff burton toy made. The Todd McFarlane set has Newstead instead cause its from AJFA

how can they not make a cliff action figure?
hes the ****ing original.
that pisses me off....severly

Shady Ultima 04-26-2006 03:02 PM

Ya, I searched for it about 3 years ago when all I listened to was Metallica, and then I stopped listening to them, and now im gettin back into em, so I searched the web and ebay, and there isn't one. That's why I went to the custom model's place, but for 1100 that's insane.

Joe 04-26-2006 03:04 PM
i love that solo
I do too. It's so much fun to play. I've got it all down except the sweeping. I haven't made much sense out of it yet.

1100... dollars? What a waste. It's not worth it.

how many strings is he sweeping?

Joe 04-26-2006 03:32 PM

He's sweeping only on the G,B, and E strings (high 3) but there's a funky hammer on in there that's an awkward stretch when you've got three fingers on three different string further down then a pink hitting a fret on the high E that I can't reach they way I'm doing it.

Ron McGoveney is.

I don't like McGovney at all.

timmySmi 04-26-2006 05:46 PM

I have all four figures from the black album era. James Kirk Lars and Jason satup ontop of my TV. whenever I need inspiration while playing my bass I just gaze at those figures. *cough**cough** **CORNY!****cough**:amaze:

Shady Ultima 04-26-2006 07:45 PM

Meh, I never liked Jason. Being a bass player, I always felt he was the new guy... and couldn't replace Cliff... Oh... how I wish it had been Lars instead of Cliff.. They could have been so much better. I mean listen to Master of Puppets, especially the song Orion. They would have only gotten better with Cliff. But no... he had to be the one who died. Lars has even said If Cliff had been around the Black album and Load would never have happened.

That is EXACTLY what Wikipedia said. Look up Cliff Burton.

Sun O))) did a cover called F.W.T.B.T "(I wish it was Lars)" or something like that.

I love Sunn.

Jev 04-27-2006 01:03 AM

Haha I wanna hear that song now.
Any uploads?

Shady Ultima 04-27-2006 01:15 AM

Agreed ^
I wanna hear that

Jev 04-27-2006 03:19 AM

I'd imagine it to be 4 chords over and over in drop A.
But I'd still like to hear it.

Alex 04-27-2006 02:43 PM

wow im pissed!
OK so my band has a show on saturday and its at a church. for our last song we were gonna play MoP HOWEVER my guitarist's mom has told us that if we play it, dave (the guitarist) will be KICKED OUT OF HIS HOUSE! she is extremely religous and thinks that the lyrics in MoP are about satanism but they arent as many of you probably know, they are about alcoholism. I am pissed, we are probably gonna play it anyways though cause she isnt gonna be at the show.

*Heroine

It's about being taken controlled by heroine

Shady Ultima 04-27-2006 02:52 PM

Heh, damn that sucks. Personally, I bet she's bluffing. Unless she is a huge bitch, she won't actually kick her son out of her house. My parents said they would if I ever got any piercings.. I got 2 eyebrow rings and they got mad, but I still lived at home.

Thats a pretty harsh punishment for playing a song.

I hate how everyone thinks metal is all satanic.

If he tells his mum it's about heroin I think the consequences will be the same.
Alcoholism FTW.
Or something lighter.

GenuineImitation 04-27-2006 03:51 PM

I used to think it was about alcoholism. The song works well with both alcohol and heroin abuse.

Chu 04-27-2006 04:14 PM

I didn't think it was about any specific drug, just drugs in general.

timmySmi 04-27-2006 04:32 PM

By playing MOP your giving example lyrically of what drugs can do to you. Therefore you are educating people of the consequences of what addiction to a drug is like and showing them not to go down a dark path. Shove that in her bible bashing face and she'll be left speechless. Why you ask?, Because its the truth!

Crysiss 04-27-2006 04:40 PM

Man you have bad grammar, but I get the general idea of what your saying.

GenuineImitation 04-27-2006 05:14 PM

I guess Im lucky. I believe in christianity, but am still aloud to listen to metal. I guess I have cool parents.

For those who don't have Live Sh!t here is the infamous drum battle between Lars and James.

Actually that was Jason, not James.

Soul_Under_Arrest 04-27-2006 06:08 PM

Then why does he say "James can't keep up with me."?

Just found this one. Live version of Shortest Straw
