Random tip: Remember reading the rules for happy posting. :thumb:
Yes please do, we just had a poster a page or two ago who was a n00b that was a complete idiot |
Yes I know, I'm not new to foruming or whatever, I was a member of the tallica forum for quite some time, until someone hacked it, and then it was different. I like your title there Joe, that's my favorite song.

Yea I was pretty sure you weren't knew, who'd you used to be? Mine too, by far. They don't have a song even half as good. |

Mine too, by far. They don't have a song even half as good.
I don't think I ever posted on hear before, though I may have and just forgot about it, but if you're a member of the Metallica forum you might know me as metallica#14eva. Agreed, Hammett hits the hammer on the nail with the opening solo, and the entire guitar arrangement is phenominal, definately by far the best. |

yea the one 14 19 ect. part is kinda hard at first, I break it down into phrases and then
15 put em all together once I've mastered them all, imo it works better. 16 |
Are you talking about the Fade to Black intro?
|
Are you talking about the Fade to Black intro?
yes they indeed are |
I never found it that hard. Well maybe its because I played it like 300 times in a row until I got it perfect. :p
|
I know every note in the song. But I can't seem to stay in time
with it and I'm also a drummer..how the hell does that work? |

oh my god i just listened to the limp bizkit version of sanitarium
please shoot i feel like ive had my brain put through a mincer. alas! decks and 'ring the alarms' in one of my favourite songs. bad news guys /dies |
I like the Limp Bizkit version. They were (for me) the best at the Icon concert.
They took the song and made it their own. But I know other people would prefer straight covers, so... Meh. Isn't subjectiveness wonderful :) :smash: |
Well Load,Reload and St.Anger kinda suck compared to the old stuff.. St.Anger doesn't have any solos, but it has nice riffs, it's not bad.
Load&Reload... Meeeeeh well, unforgiven2,hero of the day, until it sleeps... GOD, WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE CD's WHERE I COULD LISTEN WITHOUT SKIPPING TRACKS!? I would prefer that they keep standard tuning for their new album :| |

Anyway way I can hear or see MTV Icon (Metallica)?
|
You can try searching for it on a P2P.
|
Limp Bizkits last album is the only album I have thrown in the trash.
I think they'll do better with wes back in the band. I can't imagine them doing Tallica covers. Where can I find it? |
Due to the recent influx of idiot threads regarding Metallica here is the OFFICIAL Metallica thread. Please post EVERYTHING Metallica related in this thread and DO NOT make any additional threads regarding Metallica.
Thankyou.
metallica are awesome the best band ever and always will be.none of the band members or the band are overated they make amzing music.james is the biggest influence to me as i inspire his singing and his awsome music on guitar.people think st.anger is crap because its different to their other albums i think there wrong only true metallica fans know that this album is amazing and one of their best. |

i really want to see the MTV icon i've only seen clips on SKOM
as for the covers i heard the Limp Bizkit one was ok but the scratch dj instead of the guitar solo was to be avoided i've heard KoRns cover of one which wasn't to bad but still abit **** but what people who have seen it have said to me is that the Avril Lavigne version of Fuel was the best cover of the night cos her session musicians got all the parts perfect note for note....... |

Just quote the first page! Have no idea what's going on, goodwork. General opinion in this thread is that St. Anger isn't a bad record (We too, have had the time to listen to it, and let it grow on us  ). My final thought: Metallica are very over-rated, and yes I am a HUGE Metallica fan.... |

EDIT: Ok maybe massively was a bit strong, but they are over-rated. |

NO solos, nothing. Plus fred durst totally changes the vocals, he wasn't even following the rhythm at all. Like when james sings, he stops after a line for a while, and durst just kept going like the whole song is a big line. I heard avril's version of chop suey, and it sucked pretty badly. Don't know about fuel though. |

Don't know about fuel though.
Apparently she wasn't a big 'Tallica fan at all and Fuel was the first song she had heard, quite possibly the only one too. The guitarist couldn't handle the solos so they were cut out. I think she just did it in an attempt to fit in. |
It was awful. I couldn't stand to listen to it, even though James got quite a kick out of it
So I'm at school still waiting for SAT Prep to start in an hour and I'm logged on to my account and we only get like 20MB per person so I just put some Metallica on here and deleted all my school work. I don't have any of the old Metallica on here because it was on my little USB thing so I've got...Fuel, King Nothing, Mama Said, and Fade to Black (it was already on here from past years) and some other random songs (Crazy Train, Back in Black, B.Y.O.B). |
I haven't heard the Chop Suey cover, and I don't want to. I've heard the Fuel cover though, I hated it.
