I think he said the label gave him a promo.
I've been listening to awefulsome mid-90s pop all day- Tony Rich Project, New Radicals, Jewel- since my girlfriend's selling a bunch of her old CDs she could never let go of before.
ugh. what a bitch. he better leak it to me |

I wouldn't tbh. It'd be like a Dashboard concert except Chris is actually talented instrumentally so he can actually play his songs live. |

What's this like? The first album was mindblowing. Slint - Spiderland |
Second album is better in my opinion. Way more eclectic.

Agh. Field Mice! I just discovered them. Really fantastic stuff- reminiscent of the Smiths, but with a bit of a twee/shoegazer feel to them. Why has noone told me about them before? I feel cheated.

Los Campesinos! - Sticking Fingers Into Sockets
I guess my favorite local band are no longer local anymore, Pitchfork gave them an 8.4 this morning. It's exciting and sad at the same time. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/43931-sticking-fingers-into-sockets-ep |
Finally found a copy of Red Medicine in my local HMV after 6 months of looking. It's there best album by far with 13 songs a close second still.

Slint - Spiderland
Yeah pretty much what pixiesfan said. I probably like the second one a little bit more but they're both ass kicking-ly awesome.
Seeing them August 16th with Bouncing Souls and Lifetime hopefully. Can't wait.
Rad. Now that would be a fun show. The Presets - Beams SixFtHick - Canetrash Interpol - Our Love to Admire |

My Morning Jacket - Z
I've been on an alt/country kick lately and this is good stuff.
Interpol - Our Love to Admire
How is that? I'm thinking about whether to buy that or not. |
My Morning Jacket - Z

I think it's better than Antics but not as good as Turn on the Bright Lights. But then again, I tend to be a bit biased when it come to Interpol. So... buy it. |
