The worst thing about Little Britain are undoubtedly the people who declare themselves fans of it. The people who repeat the catchphrases at every given opportunity (and many not given), and who vote the show's shoddiest sketch as The Best Comedy Sketch Ever.

Wow, you could have stolen my opinion...

superpeer 10-18-2005 05:12 PM

Well, I like it and I don't care what people in Britain do with it. You can ruin it all you want, brits, it won't get to me.
Wow, you could have stolen my opinion...
Sorry. I thought I'd stuck an "as Lord Abortion said" in there, but evidently I didn't.

The second bit was the more annoying one anyway, though. It's happened at least once so far; Andy and Lou voted in front of so many better sketches.

Riva 10-18-2005 05:17 PM

So, I went to my library, and borrowed Father Ted: Series 1 on DVD, and Eric Clapton and B.B King: Riding With The King on CD.

ThrashMaster27 10-18-2005 05:28 PM

Father Ted is excellent. Easily makes my top 10 list.

Sketches eh? All the best ones came from Harry Enfield. The Old Gits, The Slobs, Mr. Dead and my fave of the bunch; The Scousers.

So I walk downstairs and I see my dad bring a grill lighter outside.

Me: "Isnt it a bit late to be grilling?"

Dad *Lights grill*

Entertainment eh? Have you seen the Beatles Celebrity Deathmatch video? If not, I suggest watching it.

BoboTheRagingHobo 10-19-2005 12:59 AM

I was never interested in Celebrity Deathmatch...

But meh, got a link for it?

I think the only Celebrity Deathmatch I've seen are the Beatles one and a GNR one.

Karnivool - Themata. You don't have to reply or anything, it's just there to be read.

Bartender 10-19-2005 06:26 AM

I actually remember reading that some time in the last couple of days. I didn't comment because I've never heard of the band before, and it didn't interest me so much as some of the other stuff I've never heard of that you've talked about - like Eluveitie.
NR Nietzsche - Beyond Good and Evil
I reread that last week and I'm starting to grasp his stuff now. First time I read it I completley missed most of his points, but I read through it again, taking my time a bit more and I understand it better now. That book has some great quotes in the maxims and interludes section, the one in my signature (which is sorely missed) is from there.

So...like I told y'all (I think) we didn't get the show with Exodus, Watch Them Die, and 3 Inches of Blood, but the Creepy Crawl's (In St. Louis, place that was holding the show) giving us a show November 1st, don't know who it's with yet, but if anyone wants to go, you should. Because supporting fellow MXers' bands makes you so patriotic.

Lord Abortion 10-19-2005 07:46 AM

Ah that's a shame, would have been awesome for you guys to play with such a great lineup.

Shred Danson 10-19-2005 07:48 AM
Ah that's a shame, would have been awesome for you guys to play with such a great lineup.
Yeah, they said it was kinda late notice, and they wouldn't have had a lot of room for us to play....I think they're going to get a couple of national-level death metal bands to play this show, though, they said they needed to book us to fill out this show, so I'm thinkin' "cool".

what is up people.

im all hyper from aderrall, lack of sleep last night, and i dont have any more classes today. im planning on going to the mall near my campus to get cheap sweatpants.

what are your guys' plans for today? i bet theyre not as exciting as mine.

"maybe go to bed, bath, & beyond. i dont know! i dont know if we'll have enough time!"

i butchered that old school quote.

Jom 10-19-2005 09:28 AM

Hello, everyone. This week is going to kill me before Friday. Lots to do.

However, I don't have my early course on Friday because my professor has to go present his research in California. Hopefully he does well, because I'm willing to bet he's put in a hell of a lot of time on it, based on how a) how tired he is in the morning, and b) how he loves talking about it when we ask him about it.

But again, I may not even make it to Friday :)

In other news, blah blah blah blah blah. I'll cut myself short here.

PinkFreud 10-19-2005 09:31 AM

how early is your early class?

i have 8 o clock classes on mondays and wednesdays and 9:30 classes on tuesdays and thursdays. theyre killers. ive found, however, that theyre actually easier to motivate myself to go to, because i have a period of 4 hours between my early classes and my next classes. in that period, i may participate in activites, or fall asleep and its fairly harder to get myself to go.

college is a trying time.

I need more. Help me compile my list.

Played around with firewall for a while, didn't work. Downloaded a different client (Gilly messenger) and it did work. Don't know why, probably some setting deep down in my computer that didn't agree with the MSN client.
