I never have a conversation with her, I always talk to my dad about stuff but I dont with my mum.
You live with your mom? Then don't hate her.

Talos 02-17-2006 12:19 PM
You live with your mom? Then don't hate her.
Yeah I live with her unfortunately

Double Bass Jim 02-17-2006 12:24 PM
I love my mom.
I'm 17 and I still give her a kiss good night.

That's probably why she bought me this $3,000 beauty.

DANG that is a nice horn!

Is that your main focus?

Janeway 02-17-2006 12:29 PM

Yes.
I've sort of neglected it for the last few years, but this year I've gotten a lot more serious about it.

Where in austria are you going?

Should post some audio of that one day

Trev 02-17-2006 12:56 PM

I have a Yamaha sax, cost about £700 or something. I did a few grades then stopped, and focused more on drums.

I'm trying to convince my parents to let me sell it, to fund building an electric kit for when I go to uni.

Janeway 02-17-2006 01:01 PM

I might post audio, once I figure out how to stop making the comp mic make it sound like an electric guitar.

That's depressing.
It's probably a YAS-52, which was the best intermediate horn on the market back in the day. You'll only get about £350 for it if you sell it.

Double Bass Jim 02-17-2006 01:05 PM

Haha good ole computer mic issues...

I know ALL about that, it's hard to get decent quality with a crappy little mic.

RushHourSoul 02-17-2006 02:27 PM

^ its pretty impossible.

Panopticon 02-17-2006 02:35 PM

con someone help me with this?...

I've labelled all i know, but i dunno what the rest are, Help is appreciated:wave:

Talos 02-17-2006 02:44 PM

The thing with the spring is what makes the pedal move.

Attatch it to the top of your pedal and it should make it move. At least I think thats hwat it is.

I dont know about anything else though.

Panopticon 02-17-2006 02:45 PM

oh no...there are already springs on the pedals...these are extras...the pedals are fully operational with these off of it.

Talos 02-17-2006 02:47 PM

Spares then maybe?

Jezen 02-17-2006 03:12 PM

Just went over the shell twice with 120 grit. I'll have a couple of goes with 150 grit tomorrow, then it's down to oiling.

Drum Phil 02-17-2006 03:45 PM

What happened to goin to the missus'? ;)

Drum Phil 02-17-2006 04:23 PM

Anyone care to explain to me why theres an illuminati logo on the american dollar bill?

DuckinFutch8 02-17-2006 04:40 PM

Go see "national treasure"

it explains everything. In a completely ficitious manner. Plus Nicholas Cage is in it.

Drum Phil 02-17-2006 04:41 PM

To be fair my book explains it. I just cant be bothered searching through it.

Motleyguy 02-17-2006 04:42 PM

Not true...http://www.myspace.com/blackcitylights...my new band, it's an acoustic demo, done in one take with a computer mic. Anyways, I just finished A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, it's the book Oprah was raving about, the guy is a crackhead and an alcoholic and goes to rehab. So it's all "Happy ending, I'm better!" and such, then there's this appendix sort of thingy talking about all of the people he met in rehab and it's all "So and so died from AIDS complications, so and so was shot dead inf ront of a crackhouse, so and so was caught with large amounts of cocaine and is serving life without parole in San Quentin, Lilly (his girlfriend from rehab who he "loved") was found dead, hanging in a half way house the day James was released from prison." It was like way to kill the happy vibes. Though apparently he "embelished" a bunch of stuff, like she didn't hang herself, she cut her wrists, and the amount of jail time he served and dumb **** like that, then the media freaked and went off on him. Good book though, interesting writing style, I recommend it to any who are into that sort of auto biographical thing.

Drum Phil 02-17-2006 04:44 PM

Can i reccomend the following books by dan brown?

Angels And Demons
The Da Vinci Code
Digital Fortress

Motleyguy 02-17-2006 04:49 PM

read them all...check out Deception Point as well...good stuff. I figured with the new avi, and the user title that you'd been reading some Dan Brown.

DuckinFutch8 02-17-2006 04:49 PM

good books, cept don't take them for fact.

In the Da Vinci code, a lot of the stuff is made up, although not neccesarily by Dan Brown.

gastery6 02-17-2006 04:51 PM

No.

Motleyguy 02-17-2006 04:54 PM

no?

Im well aware of that. Im researching the interesting stuff myself. Angels and demons caught my eye because ive been interested in the illuminati since i was around 11
Not true...http://www.myspace.com/blackcitylights...my new band, it's an acoustic demo, done in one take with a computer mic.
Well... you probably had a fairly decent computer mic. Suppose computer mic is to broad really but generally they're pretty horrible to record with. Yours does sounds pretty good though.

I've been reading Dream Brother (by David Browne), its a biography of Jeff & Tim buckley, its really cool how it weaves inbetween each of their lives, really good so far.

Motleyguy 02-17-2006 05:07 PM

aha, it isn't even mine...well I never bought it, it sort of appeared at my house one day. i think someone left it here, anyways, what did you think of the song?
