dunno... ask him... you are on the list as the Fear of the dark'er

Josh 12-03-2004 04:49 PM

i was already doing it before i checked the list but anyway...as long as they all get reviewed in the end. have DoD if you want

YDload 12-03-2004 04:55 PM

I've already reviewed NOTB and Piece of Mind for the CD reviews forum, so it would be pretty easy for someone to just copy-and-paste my reviews into the official Maiden biography and credit me. Because I'm lazy and demand recognition, dammit!

Thunder Fingers 12-04-2004 03:47 AM

The list is then:
Iron Maiden: GurS (done)
Killers:88 fingers joe (done?)
The Number of The Beast:Ydload(done)
Piece of mind: YDload(done)
Powerslave:Eddie-the-trooper
Live After Death: GurS
Somewhere in time: Eddie-the-trooper
Seventh Son of a seventh son: Ashman
No prayer for the dying: ??
Fear Of the Dark: Sack-man(done)

The X Factor: Ashman
Virtual XI: 88 fingers joe
Brave New World: 88 fingers joe

GurS 12-04-2004 06:56 AM

Someone locked the FOTD review... does that mean it still counts as done?

hypocracy hater 12-04-2004 07:21 AM

Question:

D'annio (sp?) got kicked out because of alcoholism, why did Smith and Dickenson leave ???

Arucard 12-04-2004 07:30 AM

thx riva
why are u banned!

Riva 12-04-2004 07:51 AM
Question:

Smith was annoyed at Maiden returning to their roots with No Prayer For The Dying. Harris wanted to make the album sound more like Piece Of Mind, but Smith wanted to continue with the direction they had begun with Seventh Son.

GurS 12-04-2004 09:58 AM

and bruce enjoyed making his solo album so much, he decided to leave and focus on a solo career. Jannick was suggested as a replacement for H as Jannick played on Bruce's first solo album.

Arucard 12-04-2004 10:29 AM

well there you go, i learn something new everyday

GurS 12-04-2004 10:31 AM

as do i.

Arucard 12-04-2004 10:35 AM

i learnt that mark tremonti is definatly one of the best guitarists around yesterday
he ENJOYS himself when he plays, not standing there rooted to the ground with his guitar neck high.

not realy maiden :p

anyone noticed that janick pretty much stands still when he plays his own solos? i noticed on blood brothers..

GurS 12-04-2004 10:55 AM

^ that's true.

why is it on (i think) brave new world, he kinda twiddels his fingers as he draws his hand back from the guitar.

Also, on the back of the FOTD sleeve, Jannick looks like a tramp :)

Arucard 12-04-2004 11:10 AM

lol, but u cant not love jannick right?

Thunder Fingers 12-04-2004 11:16 AM
lol, but u cant not love jannick right?
GurS 12-04-2004 11:42 AM

Lord Abortion 12-04-2004 01:35 PM
Riva, i've sent you the edited version of your FA
Thanks a bunch. I must admit my resources were somewhat sketchy for a lot of things. :thumb:

Cain 12-04-2004 06:18 PM

I much prefer Murray over the other two. Although I admit I haven't really heard enough of Janick to say.

GurS 12-04-2004 06:24 PM

H is my favourite, though Davey's probably the best techincally

cai2k 12-05-2004 04:17 AM

run to the hills? racist?

Due to the rules, I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to post this,but... lol..... I love maiden, they're the greatest metal band, in my opinion. But i'm anti-racist, and Run to the hills sounds quite racist...

Is it racist, or anti-racist song? I've heard from some that it's anti-racist. What do you think?

Riva 12-05-2004 04:38 AM

It isn't rascist. It just discusses the plight of the American Indians when the English invaded their country.

The line, "The only good injuns are tame" is supposedly what the "cowboys" were saying. It doesn't reflect what Bruce and the guys personally thought about the Native Americans.

Ahh... good good. Cos I thought it was their opinion. I think it's " the only good indians are tame" isn't it? I might be wrong tho
Ahh... good good. Cos I thought it was their opinion. I think it's " the only good indians are tame" isn't it? I might be wrong tho
if you acctualy listen to the text of the song, you will see that they are changing between seeing it from the indians side, and from the europeans side.. it starts of "White Man came" right? so its a two way song...

also, i prefer Adrian as the guitarist, dunno why, its justt somthing about that guy's playing and stuff like that...

Thunder Fingers 12-05-2004 08:50 AM

ey, YDload! i cannot play all of Flight of icarus becouse i have never learned all of it  i will learn it! infact, i will learn the rest of it tomorrow, i know the main riff :p

Josh 12-05-2004 09:46 AM

ashman 12-05-2004 10:07 AM

Hey guys, I haven't really had a chance to get online for the last few days. When are we going to get our reviews done for? I should be able to get them done by Wednesday night (Bear in mind that I crap loads of Coursework to do).

ashman 12-05-2004 10:13 AM

I've always wanted to own a pub, I'd call it "Eddies lair" or "The Ruskin Arms 2"

shadow_stalker 12-05-2004 10:16 AM
