MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE Files Counter Lawsuit Against DAVID ELLEFSON
Billboard.biz is reporting that MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has filed a counter lawsuit against former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson alleging that Ellefson on May 14 executed a settlement agreement in which he gave up his 20% interest in MEGADETH. Mustaine maintains that the settlement — which Ellefson alleges was signed under pressure and ultimately withdrawn — released Mustaine from all claims. Mustaine's suit, which seeks damages to be determined, was filed in response to Ellefson's original action, filed July 12 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, which alleges that co-founding guitarist David Mustaine breached their long-running partnership agreement. He claims Mustaine wrongfully took the lion's share of the band's income (estimated at more than $200 million since 1984) for himself and cut Ellefson out of the band's music publishing and merchandise revenues. Ellefson also says that Mustaine libeled him in an online posting. The bassist is seeking at least $18.5 million in damages. |
good for Dave (Mustaine)
Do any of you read Guitar World? The new one had a huge interview with Dave Mustaine. He said alot about what he did for the re-masters, and he talked about what went on with the band throughout its career.
i think i got an issue of it once
I look through Guitar Player, since thats in it I'll pick it up.
Oh yeah, I have that album!!!
Anybody listen to Reaper?
NP: Testament - The Ballad |
Bathory - the Reaper? Yep, that is a great song.
No, a band named Reaper. Good solid traditional/thrash metal :thumb:
I've been looking for the Exodus album - Impact Is Immenent, does anyone know where to find it other than amzon and ebay
Hmmm...I found that, it was either at a used store or Best Buy style store. I'm pretty sure it was a regular store. Yes I am a lot of help thank you :)
any thoughts on what the new slayer will be like?
any thoughts on what the new slayer will be like?
i think same as usual... one of the few bands that somewhat stayed the same through out their career |
They said it's a bit like a mixture of god hates us all and seasons in the abyss, well kerry did anyway
hopefully Tom and Jeff will get more lyrics and music included, Kerry handling almost a whole album got kinda repetitive
Well Dave is with them again so hopefully it'll be a really good album
Jeff did say Dave made quite a difference in the songs
any thoughts on what the new slayer will be like?
Probably bad. |
tom said its going to be very slayer, so that gives nothing away really
i'm expecting something seasons in the abyss-ish
I hope so it would be good i expect something like divine intervention just not quite as intense
yeah, i wonder if Tom can still hit the high notes. On the warfield DVD he sounds like an old man at times :upset:
well thats because he is getting older i suppose it was going to happen eventually i think he can still do it though
i think hes probably the oldest man in thrash, Paul Baloff would've been too
the guys outa iced earth look pretty old [dont tell them i said that] there more power then thrash though
Bruce Dickinson can still hit the high notes so i dont think Tom should have trouble, his voice was better at download than on the Warfield DVD
bruce is having troubles though so i have heard aparently some the songs have been taken off the set list :(
bugger
do Chuck and Eric of Testament have american indian backgrounds? |
i was not aware of that
little waynes world quote there :thumb: |
