**** ages well, i've been pulling it out a lot lately

circulatory system - signal morning
the books - the way out, a grower
caddywhompus - remainder, awkward indie pop group, roughly indebted to garage punk like post nothing but with the catchier sensibilities of a young avey tare. for some reason i like it more with each passing listen

cbmartinez 07-19-2010 04:50 PM

69 love songs is still their crowning achievement. listen to tracks off that all the time, it's timeless in that sense that you don't have to listen to the whole album, which would be impossible anyway.

QTpie 07-20-2010 11:07 AM

big gay songs

teenager on the internet 07-20-2010 11:30 PM

DENEpants 07-21-2010 10:27 AM

I've been digging too much reggaton thats for damn sure. but i just listened to the books and wavves and lush cola and united nations and holy **** i miss music.

teenager on the internet 07-21-2010 12:43 PM

codeine - the white birch
cult ritual - 1st LP (<3)

Matt? 07-22-2010 02:47 AM

i really like the last song on admiral fell promises. there's some impressive guitar playing on that album. the other two are a lot better in my opinion. a lot of the songs don't seem to have hooks...

YDload 07-22-2010 09:53 AM

i think it's too boring when all the songs have the exact same instrumentation (fingerpicked acoustic guitar). i liked how other SKM albums mixed it up with some electric guitar and a full band. they're still good songs but a little samey

iarescientists 07-22-2010 10:24 AM

yeah that's how i feel

i'll listen to a couple tracks and be like this is nice, but then just get disinterested and end up listening to something else

SugarCoatedSour 07-22-2010 10:54 AM

you're an escapist hipster who untethers himself if he can't associate his hipster leanings with the experience at hand.

plane 07-22-2010 11:01 AM

that sounds like errbody

SugarCoatedSour 07-22-2010 12:04 PM

that's because we compromise for errbody, what better way to dispell conflict than to become reflective, just save the individuality card for a last ditch effort to save your hipsterism. Unfortunately the truth is that you're not who/what you define or the thoughts you keep, you're not even your body or your mind.

Now that's the hip slogan I go by.

cbmartinez 07-22-2010 12:10 PM

converge- you fail me
appleseed cast- low level owl, vol. 1

this has little to do with "hmm, i don't think i want to listen to more acoustic plucking, gonna put on 90 day men"

SugarCoatedSour 07-22-2010 03:21 PM
