I have to disagree. EITS are just good at making their own sound imo. I like Caspian as well, though.

Yeah EITS is different enough from Caspian you can't really say "Caspian is better at being EITS." Although, I do prefer Caspian. Especially [I]You Are the Conductor.[/I]

generic doesnt necessarily mean bad. just means they dont do anything different from what has become the general sound of post rock. i still enjoy them, but im not as attracted to them as i am by bands that do things outside the realm of the norm.

like the jimmy cake. they use an accordeon. and it sounds as awesome as it, well, sounds.

its true. theres so much better **** out there. the only thing that sigur ros does that i like on even the smallest level is their use of vocals solely as another instrument of melody. its kind of refreshing. but they are just really fluffy, and boring.

sweek can do that whole patient, serene, sweeping thing better than sigur ros can. the only thing is sweek knows how to switch it up from time to time, and are thus much more interesting to listen to. sickoakes comes to mind as well.

i dunno nepenthe ( ) is probably my favorite post-rock album its pretty much awesome in a bag of awesome

The only thing I don't like about ( ) is track 5. That track's kinda boring. 7 drags on a bit too, but it's pretty good.

i completely agree. 5 is average, and 7 is a bit long.

Thats why it gets a 4.5 versus a 5 imo

8 is definitely the best song on ( ). I love that riff at the beginning.

Second favorite track.

Oh and when it speeds up at the end and the album climaxes...**** yes

The album should just be listened to as a whole, like one big song. Their new record is really awesome too. Such an awesome new sound for them.

Their new album is mediocre. At least all the other songs weren't as bad as Gobbledigook or whatever. Holy **** that song is annoying.
