Well u should. I do. If you think I'm gonna leave you alone because u think I like *** bands just because I know that you do, you are sadly mistaken. How u could think metallica is good is beyond me. You could try to bash my favorite bands on their threads but u wouldn't be able to because they have talent as apposed to other bands whose names I will not mention.... *Metallica. They have little to no rhythm section, terrible guitar and horrible vocals. So let's dedicate an entire thread to them... Hurrah!!! (Sarcasm) Anyways I think thats all I really wanted to say about this **** band. I'll talk to you as soon as you reply to this one. HUTTAH!
We are not askin you to leave us alone... we are however asking you to stop humiliating yourself in a thread full of metallijunkies. You seem to have no substance in this argument with which to argue. It seems as though you are just bitching because you know someone will tell you to shutup. I won't be that guy, talk all you want, haha myself and the rest of the Metallica fans will be sitting at our computers going"...hahahaha look at this moron." Everyone needs a good laugh, and if you need a good laugh then you might wanna go read the last few posts you made and pretend like someone said it about Iron Maiden or whoever it is you enoy listening to. Different strokes for different folks right, why don't you just go to some thread with more people like you where you can talk about whatever you want. Metallica FOREVER!! |
Replying to hims not going to do any good - he's banned

here here! :thumb: im only a new member to the forums but im a big metallica fan, i was at one of their concerts last year, it was amazing to hear songs like creeping death, battery, sanatarium bein played live, metallica rock, has any body listened to their unnamed feeling E.P., it was recored live while they were touring in france? |
^ the unnamed feeling is one of the best songs in st.anger imo
but like most songs in st.anger it has a good part and a bad part |
Nothing wrong with Iron Maiden fans, boyo.
I don't have problem with Iron Maiden the band (in fact, I quite like them). It's just that die-hard Maiden fans always remind me of robots. Whenever I mention that I like Metallica, despite the fact that the guys in Maiden are, in my opinion, more musically proficient, they're head explodes. They just can't fathom the possibility that even the drummer is off beat sometimes, the guitarist messes up his own solos live or the vocalist doesn't have a 12 octave vocal range, at the end of the day I'd rather listen to Ride the Lightning than The Number of the Beast. It just doesn’t computer. Of course, it would be down right ignorant to say that all Iron Maiden fans are like that, it's just that I've met quite a few who seem to have an anti-Metallica agenda. So I tend to stay away. |
^Whats the bad part? Maybe the lenght and the ending. That song would have been so much better if it had ended with a bang.
While I'm at it, my first username has a way bigger post count but if this one gets bigger I'll stay on this one. Man its been almost a 2 weeks since I last visited this thread, besides this afternoon. EDIT: To germ17 |
Has anyone seen the madly in anger with the world tour yet? If so how was it? I am seeing them in september here in cleveland and i can't wait? can they still rock hard @ss. and how is hetfields voice?
|
I like METALLICA alot and i think megadeth is ok but they are way better than Korn or Blink-182.
rock on!!!!!1 |
megadeth's old stuff from like peace sells and rust in peace is awesome.
|
OMG! Metallicas comming here in 3 days! w00t! Im so phyced! My 16th birthday is a day after the concert, so going to rock even more!
|
The only Megadeth album I have is their greatest hits (Capital Punishment, I think it's called), but it kicks ***. They do take some getting used to though.

Its the only song from st. anger i can listen to more than a few times. Yes a solo would fit in perfectley

Metallica is one of the greatest bands to ever walk the face of the earth man they just were so good back in the days of such albums of kill em' all which is my favorite album. My favorite song is probably Anethesia (Pulling Teeth) but the new metallica just isnt the same and you all know that they still rock but just its not the same at all.
|
Why do some people only like the old stuff. I know the obvious answer because of diffrent tastes but is it because your a metal head and just like fast and heavy. Im not bashing so sorry if someone takes it that way. I like some metal but only few bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Megadeth. I listend too Death but I cant stand the vocals. And I really dont like the black clothes and trying to sound evil thing. The bands that I mentioned were writing about the truth.
Also my bands style is going to be Kinda like the sound of Load and mostly Reload. I know you may be thinkin that this guy is just a n00b and has no musical knowledge but trust me Ive loved music forever and have learnt quite a bit from guitar playing to drums to piano to violin to bass to trumpet and Im self taught in all. I also love Jetro Tull and Kansas type music. I listend to Thick as a Brick album all the way through many times a month for those who know it. Boy, I stray off topic a digress alot sorry |
amen
can someone suggest more songs from metallica that are decent besides master of puppets fade to black the one enter sandman the unforgivin i know there is more, those are just the ones im familiar with:)
My fave songs are: Metal militia Jump in the fire For whom the bell tolls Creeping death Battery Master of puppets Blackened Eye of the beholder My friend of misery The struggle within 2x4 The house that jack built Until it sleeps and many more........ |
This thread has the single greatest concentration of fanboys in the world.
If you think metallica is the best band even to walk the face of the earth, just check out some more thrash. In the end, you'll thank me. I used to think that, but after listening to extreme metal a while, I realized how wrong it was. Happy thrashing \m/ |

Everything else, was pretty much a copy of metallica. I dont listen to them too much anymore, but they still hold a good place in my heart. I grew up on all the old stuff. My brother remembers me blasting Orion constantly when he was like 8yrs old. (hes a badass drummer now, go figure....) Dont get me wrong, Megadeth and anthrax all kicked ***, but no one did it like metallica, the same way no one did theyre genre like Pantera. They are the Final Authority. BTW I think my fav metallica song is that One B-side cover, the Prince. extreme metal, death, that **** is just to, well extreme. Theres no dynamic whatsoever. thats what was so good about metallica, especially on Lightning, master and justice. Great dynamic movement. chillin parts, slammin parts, and all in between. And Im sorry to anyone that thinks otherwise, you cant get any more extreme, or a$$kicking, than Dyers eve, period. All other wannabe metal styles bow down to Justice. The only "death" style band i appreciate, is Opeth, Why? Dynamics. just to list my favs and get it overwith. Anesthesia Four Horsemen Blitzkreig Ride the Lightning For Whom The Bell Tolls Trapped Under ice Call Of cthulu Battery Sanitarium Disposable Heroes Orion Damage Inc. The Eye Of the Beholder The Shortest Straw yea yea One. Dyers Eve To Live is to Die Helpless Crash Course In Brain Surgery The wait The small Hours The Prince My Friend Of Misery Outlaw Torn The God That Failed |

has anyone here heard some mistakes on s&m?
|
he's right. go and check out the good stuff ;)
I've listened to other thrash. I don't care that much for thrash. I listen to music for the music, not just because it's thrash or some genre in general. I didn't start liking Metallica because they were thrash. The first cd I picked up by them was Load. So now you know where I stand. Chances are what you call good stuff I would not consider it that great at all. It's called taste in music. |
ToolOwnz - By "extreme metal" I meatn Thrash, Black, Death and Grind/Gore. Yes thrash is extreme enough to be extreme metal. Anyways pretty much all other thrash bands thrash harder than metallica - metallica hardly did any thrash songs. Dyers Eve was one of the thrash songs they did do. But it is nowhere near as brutal as about 100% of death metal and 95% of thrash metal. Check out Dark Angel, Exhorder, of course Slayer, Sodom, and early Kreator for some really brutal thrash.
BTW If you like Orion, then thrash is probably not your style anyways. Orion is a fuc.king mellow song. /me gets flamed to death by all fanboys |
^ Kill 'em all is quite thrashy as well.
And some of ride the lightning. |
