I think I like IKSOSE:3 better than GA. Theres just more variety in it.

TofuBlender and Germany1 12-27-2005 02:49 PM

Love Coheed . I got their Comic for Christmas. Quite confusing to me.

They really aren't that confusing.

jking3002 12-28-2005 12:58 AM

Yeah, I'm not really with a lot of people on here, GA is definatly my favorite (only if you listen to the album as a whole, not skipping around)....

The Musician 12-28-2005 01:40 AM

I like Good Apollo more just because it has more of a progressive-esque style to it. In Keeping Secrets has some poppier stuff and Second Stage is raw, but all of them fucking rock.

jking3002 12-28-2005 03:21 PM

Yeah, I wasn't into Coheed at all until I saw them live... I bought all three CD's in like a 4 day period after that...

So you listened to them and didn't like them at all and then you saw them live, and then all of a sudden you love them?

Pazz 12-28-2005 07:09 PM

I'm listening to them right now.

Hey now, don't question them, just be happy about their realization that Coheed=Everything that is awesome
So you listened to them and didn't like them at all and then you saw them live, and then all of a sudden you love them?
No, I had listened to them a bit. I liked all the more famous songs (Blood Red, Welcome Home, Favor House) etc... but when I listened to the other stuff I just couldnt get into it because of all the changes (in tempo, melody, blah blah) and etc. (now mind you I hadnt listened to it in depth, just you know five seconds of a song here the first minute of one there).

After seeing them live (got free tix, from a buddy) I decided to get GA for christmas... Listened to the whole album start to finish 5 times in one day and decided to pick up SSTB (a friends favorite)... Liked it, decided to pick up IKSSE:3, loved it... Coheed is now my favorite band

Ace 12-29-2005 10:09 PM

I was introduced to C&C by Pazz and Fire Whispers. Thanks guys.

thedeadwalk! 12-29-2005 11:42 PM

I've had In Keeping Secrets... playing in my car for two months now; I can't bear to take it out. I just got Good Apollo... today (though I've heard it before) and listened to it about 10 times while putting together a puzzle.

I've also had a serious love/hate relationship with the band. I couldn't stand them when I first saw the video for "A Favor House Atlantic" years ago, but it grew on me and I bought the CD. But I didn't like the CD. Then a few months ago I saw the "Welcome Home" video and thought to give them another try. That's when this new obsession began. I haven't listened to any other band since October.

Gnarmageddon 12-30-2005 12:16 AM

Do you have Second Stage Turbine Blade? It's their best album by far.

DJ Ducksauce 12-30-2005 12:46 AM

Yeah, you have to get SSTB. It's teh shibby. It is their best. Although I love the other 2 a bunch.

I can actually listen to GA all the way through now that get some of the lyrics after buying the CD finally.

Angry Balled Fists! 12-30-2005 04:08 AM

I was gonan buy the SSTB re-issue yesterday, then KIF got it just ahead of me !!

Bad Blood 12-30-2005 04:49 AM

Hahaha.

I don't get why there's loads of 'Nothingness' on In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3.

Pazz 12-30-2005 09:56 AM

If I can find the re-issue of SSTB today while shopping, I'm going to buy it. There's so many cds I want, but I really need a Coheed CD.

DJ Ducksauce 12-30-2005 11:24 AM

I think it was to put 21:13 on track 23 to kinda match up. There's also 11 tracks between The Light and the Glass and 21:13, so something like that.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 12-30-2005 11:27 AM

Lets all say how we got into Coheed. I got into Coheed a little more than 2 years ago. I wanted something new, so after looking around the store I saw the IKSOSE:3 cd, never heard the band before, I'll take a ch-ch-chance. One of the best decisions in my life.

Mute Print 12-30-2005 11:32 AM

I heard "Three Evils" on the radio about 2 and a half years ago. I downloaded IKSOSE:3 a few months later, and since then I've picked up their other albums.

Probably one of the few good bands I ever found via the radio.

DJ Ducksauce 12-30-2005 11:32 AM

Let's see, I heard AFHA on the radio. At first I thought it was Tsunami Bomb because of the high voice. So, I looked up the lyrics and it said Coheed and Cambria was the band. I had heard about them from friends at school, but had never heard any of their songs. So I got really into AFHA, then I saw the CD at Wal-Mart (:p) and bought it. I've loved the band ever since.

deathscreamingsheep 12-30-2005 12:31 PM

I got into them recently because people kept buggering on about them so I gave into peer pressure and started listening to them.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 12-30-2005 12:32 PM

Haha peer pressure.

DepthsOfDreams555 12-30-2005 02:34 PM

My friend got me into Coheed. I never hear them on the radio but then again I never hear any good music on the radio here.

I was at my bro's hockey tournament for the last few days and it was in Erie, USA. So I picked up a copy of the Good Apollo comic from Hot Topic, it's pretty sweet but the drawings and stuff are a little hard to follow sometimes

I liked the artist for the other comics better. You could actually see his drawings, they weren't so sketchy.
