Yeah, the new Kamelot slays. It's one of those albums that's good top to bottom, not just a coulpe songs. Lots of good riffs, very melodic, and of course Khan's signing is top notch.
Yeah man, I love the way Khan signs his autograph. It's so melodic and powerful. |

I'll have to listen to it later, as I'm at work right now and don't have access to speakers. On a side note, man, please start using puncuation. Your posts are hard to read.
Yes, pirate metal. I think it's self-explanatory.
Which reminds me, I didn't learn until after the fact that last Monday was Talk Like a Pirate Day. Yes, this is real. I'll make sure not to miss it next year.
Yeh but what is the context of Pirate Metal? I celebrated Pirate Day. |
Yeh but what is the context of Pirate Metal?
I celebrated Pirate Day.
Power metal that sings about pirates. A lot. |
They also like singing about pirate ghosts, and sea battles where the perfidious French get goodly drubbings. A lot.
On another note - 24hrs to Nightwish and Paradise Lost! /smug mode |
Me and my friends have celebrated Talk Like A Pirate Day for the past few years.

LEGENDS FROM NOW AND NEVERMORE. You are my brother. \m/ So, speaking of Power Metal, 3 Inches Of Blood did a good job with the "Upon the Boiling Seas" trilogy. NP: Lost Horizon - Sworn In The Metal Wind |
You know what would be awesome?

there has been a discussion many times. Half of us like them and the rest of us - including me - find them too bland and generic ;) |

My overall favorite power band is easily NEVERMORE.
Nevermore, the definition of modern metal and future of metal! They mix so many genres, I dont feel the label power is enough. If you ever feel like checking out a similar band, consider Communic NP Nevermore - hit of the year (and this decade :D) - Born |

I first heard of them back in 2002 after the release of their debut but somehow the pantera like groove was a turn off for me. Obviously, my taste has evolved since then so I guess it's high time I re-checked them. Any, preferably not too groovy, song suggestions? |
